The Fabulous Fuji X owners thread

My XT-1 got some oil on its sensor, took it back and the dealer cleaned it hoping it's just one of

Simon, who did you use to clean your sensor? I see you're in Norwich which I'm not far from so was curious.

I discovered a speck of dust on my X-T10 sensor yesterday towards bottom right of the image! Lord knows how it got there. It's not outrageous. I notice you said you had one too.

Messing about in the garden with the Zeiss Planar 85/1.4 @ f/2. Way too bright to be taking meaningful photos, but wanted to see how it performed!

That's a lovely shot, really like the expression on the little child's face and the bubbles help to balance the composition nicely.(y)

George.

I know I know this is in the wrong thread camera wise don't panic people. But thought I'd share my recent capture with the fabulous XF56mm f/1.2 Fuji glass, I can't believe the beautiful bokeh this lens produces wide open, it's amazing. Taken at f/1.2

Your right about the bokeh Peter its pretty stunning. The flowers in the background look like a water colour painting, beautiful.

Some great shots there Tim, I really like the turquoise Golf, I mean how low can you go I don't think you could slip a rizla under it :)

Good shots, those cars are a bit of an eyesore (for me at least) though in all honesty

Hah! Cheers mate, was on my own as my mate was on call out for work and got called as he was leaving. I left as it started raining wasn't there for long.

Are you local then?

Cool! It was a good gathering of cars I thought. You say you were using the 12mm mostly? Samyang? I keep looking at that for something wider than the 18mm I currently have. Seems a good value lens and well received.

No I'm not local. I'm from Norfolk so it was about a 2 hour drive up. Mate was keen to go and I have been to a few similar shows in the past myself such as E38 and Players.

Yeah the Samyang 12mm f2, ah bit of a trek really I live about 10 minutes from the Pavillion, was good for a few hours.

Used to do e38 every year until it filled with scroats

It wasn't a bad drive up, just a shame the weather didn't stay nice for longer. Luckily had a good look round 95% of it before it started raining.

I know what you mean about E38. The last time I went was about two years ago and it was a bit of a mix then.

Although its been delayed (again) there seems quite a lot of interest in Fuji's much anticipated XF100-400. Now depending on what aperture range it turns out to be (rumors say its could be 2.8 or the latest gossip say 4.5-5.6)
any one willing to have a stab at what it will cost?????

Yes it was the Fuji MCEK-16 macro extension tube. Not had much time with it yet, shot was 1600 iso, shutter 800, 5.6 aperture.if i was thinking better i could have reduced shutter speed a bit.

I reckon in the region of £2k... I'd love it to be £200 but we can all dream

I don't think it will be any where near F2.8,it would be massive, price wise depending of final specs £800 -1200
:)

How well does auto-focus work with this tube?

F4-5.6 and £1200 I reckon

That was my expectation for the 18-135 but it was rather cheaper than expected at launch. Hoping for a grand or less and can wait until it drops to that sort of level!

I reckon RRP will be £1299 but we will see it at about £900-1k after a few months. It'd be nice if it was a constant aperture as I have a fear of variable aperture lenses.

XT-1 and 18-55 mm, taken in Jerusalem.
