Hi George, I've had the 10-24mm for nearly a year. I love it, the build quality and optical quality are sublime. I rarely use my 18-55mm, although I do have a thing for wide-angle shots. Although relativley expensive (in relation to DSLR wide-angle prices), I am happy I got it.

I find the 10-24mm difficult to prise out of my hands when Im out. Its so versatile. Its a nice solid construction without being too heavy.Think only weighs about 410g It sits well on the camera. I find it sharp over the full range. I cant say Ive found any problem with vignetting or distortion or general things folk worry about with wide angles. Iwould definitely recommend it although does have quite high price tag. Heres a couple of shots Ive taken with it. Well Ive just taken delivery of the Meikle Battery grip. I went with this a. because it was about a third of the price of the Fuji one and b. Ive always used their grips with no problems on my canons when I had my wedding business. Its very well made body wise and looks the part,has all the revelant buttons you would want, however, after I had ordered it I found some reviews (as you do lol) and they said the battery pin that holds the battery down was rubbish...and guess what ...it totally is .I could send it back but decided going to hold on to it as with a little jiggery pokkery and a wee bit blue tack its not really a problem and works fine and I am Scottish after all so Im not shelling out and encouraging the price of the Fuji one but thought I'd just share in case anyones thinking of it.Heres a couple of shots just with my phone of it on the camera

No excuse! :D

I sent mine back and recieved a full refund and put the money towards the 18mm.

Since receiving the grip from you i have been considering getting one for the X-T1. It's better than i thought it would be tbh and makes a nice difference. Should make using the 50-140 an even nicer experience.

Ill give it some thought tonight as i the camera feels more balanced for me with the battery grip on

Just one more thing if I may ask, what about distortion etc (barrel & pin cushion), I'm just talking about straight lines etc not when it's pointed at something at totally the wrong angle ie converging verticals.

And thanks for posting a couple of images, I'm kinda guessing the B&W shot is getting on for being un-cropped which gives me a very good indication of any distortion (looks p'eerdy good) and the horizon on the colour shot looks nice and straight. I'm impressed.

George, I've found barrel & pin cushion to be minimal. By the way, I know you're near my neck of the woods, if you wanted to borrow it for a day or so, I have no problem with that. I knew it was what I wanted, so it was a no-brainer for me, but if you needed to check it out,give me a shout ( I bought an 8mm Samyang to try out last week:naughty:)

The only thing that put me of 3rd party grips is,some with an heavy lens I like to put it on an blackrapid strap,and their have been some stories of the bottom giving out :(

Maybe I'm going to commit sacrilege here, but to me the XT-10 looks like a toy camera :eek:
