I not complaining, first tried it with the 18-55mm really feel great, but was just pointing out after trying with the 50-140 F2.8 it can feel small :)

Weather is dreiche unfortunately. Batteries all at the ready
LOL now that's a word ! Lucky I was an avid reader of the Broons and oor Wullie when I was younger ! You don't want to get your new XT1 drookit ! Sorry I forgot it's weather sealed.

karen what lens are you going to use on the xt1? whats your thoughts on it?

Can I just ask, what is the point of the half cases? I don't understand what use they are?

Ok can anyone explain to me if and if yes how you can set a command dial to change ISO on the X-T10? Sorry I have googled I promise!!! And I have scanned through the FM I promise that too!

BTW simonblue, this is why I qualified my opinion of not feeling small with small primes and small zooms. I can definitely see how it can look awkward with the 50-140 I just don't think it was built with that lens in mind :) Heck my K-5 looked awkwardly small with my 50-135 and the camera was bigger than the X-T10 while the lens was smaller than the 50-140... :D

Go into the menu, then down to the the button & dial setting, then set the command dial to iso, then to change your iso just press the dial in :)

Got my hands on a Sony a711 today, and I've kinda fallen for it.......

Tomorrow I may be putting my XT-1, grip, 18-135, 23mm, 35mm, extended eyecup , and flash up for sale. Look out for a bargain.....

I may take a look, wouldn't mind a mirrorless and a 23mm to complement my D750 on holiday.. should probably have just kept the XT1 I sold on here a few weeks back...

Had the email today to say my black XT10 has arrived! :) Picking it up Saturday and arranged a time to trade in the XPro1.

@simonblue how do you find it compared to the XP1? I use the 18mm and 35mm most of the time. May opt for an 18-55 at some point but thats about it.

Been a while since i used my XP-1,its more like a small XT-1,the 18-55 really goes well with the XT-10 :)

Thx I was checkering in the command dials ... Sorted lovely little piece of kit might have something to share after the weekend

Hi. I didnt get much peace today to enjoy it or any decent weather. Initially out the box i love the fact the ae-l and af-l are on the top no more leaning on them with my thumb. It was slightly smaller than i imagined but grip should come friday and that will balance it out a bit for me. I use my 10-24mm a lot and find the 55-200mm sits nicely balanced on it. Great for me I can set up bracketing and access it so easily. Like the focus assist seems a useable feature. Nice to have the viewfinder back to where im used to it however be glad when eyecup comes as at the minute ...and this is a girly thing lol...my nose is getting make up all over the screen not a problem with the xe2. Should get out at the weekend with it so will let you know how i get on. Also looking forward to trying out my new Nissin I40 gun

So you look more hip
LMAO thats it in a nutshell ! Actually I find they keep the camera in better condition, stops the bottom getting scored and stops the tripod marking base. I've tried using full cases but they're a real faff so I don't use them now. Plus in most cases (see what I did there they provide a better grip. There's also a cut out in the bottom of the Gariz cases so you change battery and SD card easily, my XP1 grip hasn't got the hole in bottom so I had to unscrew it everytime to change battery PITA

The Gariz cases do look nice. What's the best price for them? And what straps are favoured by the XT-1 gang? ... Only looked at the artisan & artist so far but would prefer something a bit more useful rather than a trendy piece of "string"

I just use my sling. Much better and more comfortable.

The Gariz case will be about £70-80 i would have thought.

I am using OP/TECH here strap wise :)

I quite liked the strap on the Fuji case that I had with my X-E2, I found it long enough to use as a sling. I liked it so much I'm thinking of getting a fuji case for my X-T1 :)

I get my gariz cases from lovecases, if you use discount code UNI10 you get 10% discount. My XT1 case was £70 inc rmsd. I've always used Gordy straps on my smaller cameras and OPtech on my dslr/heavy lens combo.

Lol aye I was fair scunnered

"Scunnered" I'm totally lost. (but then I have led a very sheltered life).;);)

George.

I use my 10-24mm a lot

May I ask what your opinions are of the 10-24mm Karen,

It's one lens that I've been pondering about for some time. I'm not really bothered about the auto focus etc as I prefer to shoot manual focus, but I'd sure be interested in your opinions of the optical quality.

Many thanks.,(y)

George.

Today was the supposed release date for the firmware upgrade. Has this definitely been postponed - I can't find it anywhere. All I can find is the "unauthorised" version. I've heard the 29th mentioned but does anyone have any concrete news? or am I looking in the wrong place?

Fuji have it officially as being the 29th on their firmware page:
