The Fabulous Fuji X owners thread

Had a play with the XT-10 at Park Cameras earlier today and I have to say it is too small for my liking :( Small sized cameras was not the reason for me going mirrorless and the first thin I did after buying my XT-1 is getting the grips for it.

As for focusing, I thought that the tracking wasn't as good as Fuji wants us to think, mainly in low light conditions. Single point focusing was great.

As for the EVF, XT-1 owners are spoiled with their EVFs :D ( it did feeling liking looking through the view finder of a Nikon D7100 after getting used to the view finder of a Nikon D800).

I did like how one can set the front dial to control the ISO, quick and easy

I think i would have cancel my pre order, but got a good deal by trading my X-pro1,which from i can see is only going to start losing even more on its price :(

I think it is the right thing to do getting the best deal at the right time.

I don't think you will be disappointed with the XT-10 but the fact that I already own an XT-1 means that I am comparing them to each other. I know it is unfair as they are targeted at different people.

I've found a strange problem with my XT1, when I take a photo and review it in camera pressing the playback button, all is fine until I press the playback button past the last photo taken, this causes the camera to display a "card read error" the only way I can get out of this is to take another photo and only review the photos up to the last photo taken. Has anyone encountered this problem ?
It's happening with two different cards.

I've accidentally rotated the photos when viewing my photo on my SD card plugged into the PC before, camera couldn't read it after that.

LOL. What we do for art ;-) "get orf me land"

Cracking shot Barry, im really impressed with the older legacy lenses on the X-T1. The split screen makes focusing and composing a breeze

I could see their point if it was a posse of hurray henrys and henriettas riding roughshod over their EU subsidised crops that no one needs, hell bent on ripping an innocent fox to shreds in the name of sport, but an ordinary tog out for a nicely composed sunset shot, wtf ? Its enough to turn one to an anarchistic frame of mind ! Property is theft etc etc, but then we couldn't in all conscience walk around on a lovely summers evening with a grand plus worth of camera and lens taking pics ? It's a dilemma thats for sure

It is their land though i guess so i can't be too peeved about it.

I still got a few shots that should turn out ok when i look at them tommorow. The new HDR function in Lr 6 is pretty sweet so i decided to bracket 3 shots a stop apart. Will see what it can do with it.

Strangely enough i had the 18 on the X-T and the 23 on the X-E.

Just been escorted off of some land by a farmer...

It was a nice sunset though.

 :$
Someone mentioned a sheep on another thread i read earlier I just thought.....you know........maybe :naughty:

Had this happen a few times Jim if I've put an SD card in the camera and not formatted it before use. It seems to happen more often if I've popped a card out, put the card in my PC/laptop and then put the card back in camera and carried on shooting.

Best option is always to put a card in the body and format before use.

That's one very nice sunset shot David.(y)

It happens even after I've formatted it in the XT1. On another forum someone has told me it happens to them if the sd card has ever been in another camera ! I'm going to try a low level format on the card and see what happens.

Problem solved ! I did a low level format on the card on my computer, now the card read error no longer appear, well not so far.

My cards have been in both my Fuji's and I've never suffered the issue.

Famous last words...

Mine's been OK with cards formatted in camera, in a Panasonic LX5 and in the laptop. My old Sony A7R would have a meltdown if you dared use the card in anything but itself,

Took a 19 shot sequence earlier on of the young 'un coming towards me pretty sharpish on her scooter and i would be happy to use 13 of them... Is that good? Works out at about 68% i think? I think i would have been lucky to get 2 before v4.

Interesting to know. Hope it works out for you.

Anyone using the little Nissin flash? I've got a Yongnuo at present but thinking I'd like to make much more simple with TTL. Manual flash is just too confusing in different changing light situations.

I use a "Nissin i40" flash Dave, and I also use the Nissin universal lead with it on my Fuji-X cameras. It is a superb bit af kit, really accurate, plenty enough power, and very versatile. I cannot recommend it enough.

George.

I've also got the i40 and it's a really capable little unit. It's well built and has a good punch considering the size. Nicely matched to the Fuji too.

+1 on that, I had the Fuji EF-X20 and it was shocking, the recycle time is pants, the i40 is a cracking little unit. Highly recommend.

Cheers guys, looks like I'll be on the lookout for one :)

Cheers man. I'll take a look. Bit pricey compared to how much I can buy new for mind.
