The Fabulous Fuji X owners thread

I see no evidence of it being a BETA. Everything works sweet. Read a few comments for both sides of the argument but i figured it was leaked in line with the X-T10 release so it is ready for the general public. Fuji just haven't released the FW so it doesn't cull sales of the X-T10. IMO of course.

Oppo who are a blu ray player manufacture often released BETA version of firmware for their player, for the public to try out and report back any bugs, which they could then work on for the official release.
But you maybe right about them holding back as not to affect the sales of the XT-10,which release seem delayed in here and others parts of the world.

There is a fairly big thread on it at FXF for you to come to your own conclusions. I came to the conclusion that you only live once and to go for it. :D

Your right don't think i am going to hang about any longer, was hoping to try it out on my new XT-10, but that's been put on hold due to no bloody stock :arghh:

A few more pics from v4. Probably not good enough for some people, but if the opportunities don't present themselves then i have to take what i can get.

All at f2.8 to give it a little more of a challenge.

Germany has them. ;)

So has the USA,;)

They are very nice but certainly not for me. Much prefer the feel of the X-T1.

George.

Yeah me too although I do miss the rangefinder feel of the X-E2, might have to buy myself a XPro1 :) Or even an XPro2 should they ever see the light of day

Who's hosting the file? ;) Anyone tried the 55-230 on this yet?

I'm not hosting it as that'll kill my website but I can email it to you if you want it.

EDIT: No I can't the server won't handle files that big. Sorry :(

Not sure why it's failed for you Alan, 3x3 zone for me is superb.

I don't either because the focus boxes were clearly moving with the dog, yet the focus seems to have stayed put well away from him.

Will be going back out in a minute for further testing, the dogs didn't like being out in the rain!

Results better with OIS on, but still not a keeper in the lot. What sort of shutter speed are you using David? I'm wondering how much of an impact that's having as some of them look like the focus is in the right place, just that it's still all blurry.

Could be your shutter speed, even if the focus locks on the shutter speed has to be high enough to stop the subject :)

I'd be happy with a 70-300 to come our way...

I'd have been happy today with my 55-200 which I sold a couple of months ago, or my 55-200 which will arrive as part of my X-T10 kit. Or even my 50-230 which I sent in as part of my trade deal. In saying that I'm not too disappointed with the results the Jupiter gave me.

The runners were 1/2000.

Probably a lot to do with it then as mine have all been around 1/500. Not by choice, just that's what the light level has been. Will stick the Auto ISO up a bit and try again.

So much aggro - I got this with a Panasonic GH1 and an old Minolta 45mm f2 MF lens!

Nice shot, nailed it with that one, don't no if it is because the 1st dog set seem to coming at a different angle, you seem to be shooting downward towards the dog ? :)
