The Fabulous Fuji X owners thread

TBF retailers should also know their allocation and say if its day 1 stock or not.

All manufacturers bias their releases towards the North American and/or Far East markets. Not just Fuji. It's a fact of life. Life sometimes sucks. Look at it this way - the Yanks will get the first off the line; those with the most teething problems.

But their is quite a big worldwide market out their, manufacturer who see the world as only US stand a good chance of p***ing of the rest of us :D

As far as I'm aware Fuji's announcement of the X-T10 said UK availability would be mid to late June. Has there been anything else officially stated?

Also, the UK is part of the EU, so its not just us that got the s***ty end of the stick... or did we? I remember Sony did that with the PS3 and they lost a lot of sales to the X360, PS4 worldwide launch on same day, strange how they need to learn these lessons.

Thinking I may as well get it but price I find is £8.57 a month, is there a discount code knocking around anywhere?
TIA
Then it's even less of a good deal than I thought. £30 a year for the standalone! Paid updates are only once every 18-24 months. Work it out!

Sorry Adam.

7 shot sequence with above settings and at f2.8 as this has been a criticism of some people here. In the video's posted previously, the photographer was using a small aperture so giving plenty of DOF.

Sorry these don't show anything you couldn't do with v3 firmware. Try tracking a bird flying towards you. That should be ok now with v4.

@minnnt you bin owned blud innit

Well I've not had much luck with v4 zone af yet. With a bird flying low over a field the xt1 seems to want to try and focus on the grass instead of the bird, although it worked much better with running horses, it must like the bigger subject more, but trying to do flying birds (quite close) with the 50-140 it struggled to lock onto anything at all, even against the sky, again I'm putting it down to the small subject in the viewfinder.

Would be nice to get the 1.4 tc soon really to see if that improves things

Haha possibly not if the 50-140 makes its way to the classifieds.....

It's still a big if though....

Not really used 6.1 yet tbh. From the quick play I had it was just 5.7 with a few new features to me.

Me and minnnt have 4.0

Spoke to Calumet about the X-T10 earlier on. They have been told late June / early July by Fuji but with no guarantees. :(
