The Fabulous Fuji X owners thread

Just looked at my for sale thread from June 2014 when I sold my XT1 and I put "Reason for change, well much as I like the Fuji, it is still a bit of a lump to carry around compared with the GX7".

Well just been looking at pics from the XT1 and the fuji pics are just a bit special and by the time you put a 12-35 or 35-100 on the GX7 there is not much in it. So looks like I might order another Fuji this weekend, from what I have read the Fuji refurbs are usually pretty good so might get one of them- anyone else had an X-T1 refurb?

I reckon between the cloud breaks top right. Might not work as I'm on my phone

Will try - time is tight and no local knowledge :(

Have got a Samyang 7.5 now - prepare yourself for selfies :)

Anyway, best stop cluttering a Fuji thread up

I've got a refurb . No problems at all with it and the saving made it worthwhile . I got it with the 18-135 .

I got a refurb with the 18-55 kit lens - no problems with it. Have since added a few more lenses but need to stop now :)

Being miffed at missing out on the Samyang fisheye in the classifieds (knew I shouldn't have slept on it!) I've gone and bought myself a 60mm macro, needed a better macro option than the cumbersome Minolta bellows assemblage that I've been using so far.

PAYPAL12 gives 10% off on refurb cameras/camera with lens, don`t know if it works on new kit

EDIT- code not working on new kit

My previous camera the X-E2 was form the refurb store, have to say you couldn't distinguish it from new, except for the box

Yep, as @nog says.

I purchased a X-E1 from this forum which was originally from the refurb store and it is in absolutely pristine condition. Worth considering over new for sure, save yourself some cash!

Alan, the 60mm is a fine lens, very nice IQ if a little annoying with the AF in lower light. Maybe the AF update will help.

Looks like it could be the 25th of June now, btw for the firmware.

David, what made you go for the XE1 rather than the 2?

Got mine on pre order with them, traded in my Xpro-1 :)

That's the route I am considering :) My XPro in for an X-T10. I have gotten rather attached to it though and part of me wonders whether to keep it rather than trade in - I really don't need two X cameras though, although one with an 18mm and one with a 35mm would be handy at times haha

Hiya mate.

A couple of reasons...

I'd read that the original sensor and processor in the X-Pro1 and X-E1 rendered skin tones better than the newer version in the X-T1 and X-E2
It was always going to be cheaper than the newer X-E2. The 2 would have fitted better with the X-T and processing would have been similar but i normally PP each shot individually so not really a major concern, it would have had quicker focusing probably and a few more neat features, but really wanted to test out the older sensor for myself.

I'm pretty sure i would get my money back if i decided to sell it too so all is good. Still to test it and compare it to the X-T1 with regards to portraiture but i will do soon.

I have got to many cameras :D,so letting one go wasn't to much of a problem :)

I'm going to have to wait until the end of my holiday to receive my X-T10 but I'm staying a couple of hundred yards from Mifsuds so may pop in for a look.

I wish I was allowed to holiday at camera shops :(

Got my refurb Graphite XT1 yesterday and it's lush  Had a brief play with it today and I'm impressed. I was trawling through my aperture library this evening and I came across some holiday shots I took in Arrecife last summer with my XPro 1 and the IQ of the shots from the XP1 are amazing, I'm hoping the XT1 is as good as it's definitely more of a finished package than the XP1. It's my 3rd camera form the Fuji refurb store and its pristine as were all the other cameras.

A quickie about the current cash back scheme, recently brought a few lenses from the Fuji store, if I brought another one can I combine them in the cash back scheme. That is would I get The 150 cash back on the second purchase?
I haven't yet made a claim on my first purchase. Hope that makes sense.

With the previous scheme, you had to make all the purchases within the time limit and then make a single claim within the post-purchase window for the first lens, but they could be from different suppliers.
