The Fabulous Fuji X owners thread

Lol so the Mrs think it only £100

How easy is it to learn this camera. It the aperture and ISO value confuse me on the dials on top. As it doesn't go up in 100s. Ie 100,200,300

Think it the shutter speed dial am confuse with

To be honest I mostly shoot in Auto ISO but I can't see it being a problem. Like everything else it just takes some getting used to.

EDIT: I also shoot in aperture priority ;)

I use A mode too but auto ISO it may too high as a value.

That one hell of a pricey lens lol

Cheap compared to the upkeep of what else he's just had delivered...

Very! Well, it is if you used to use an old film camera... I find it easier to find the dials on it than I do to remember which wheel does what on my D750 and D70.

This doesn't have a mode dial so how we set which mode. I just find it easier asking u kind guys due to my differculties

The 12mm + bigger filters can't be much less than the 14mm with smaller ones. Well depending what filters you actually get..
I've just brought the Samyang 12mm and its a nice and sharp lens. I use the Lee Seven5 filter system and it fits the 67mm filter thread on the Samyang - but i think thats the largest filter adaptor available for the Seven5 kit.

I'm yet to try this combo out, but will try this weekend and post a shot. On another note, the Seven5 is an awesome bit of kit, although a bit pricey! Works really well on my 18-55mm. I use the 10 stopper and the .9 grad.

The ISO dial has an 'A' setting as does the shutter speed dial. There should also be a switch on the lens that you can set to 'A' so you can set all 3 to 'A' and you'll be on full Auto or you can manually change the settings on each to suit.

Personally, I have ISO on 'A' and set aperture & shutter speed myself.

Do all the lens have aperture ring on them then I would guess so as I think that how we alter aperture??

Hmm need test one out.

Thank you so on the 27mm how we alter aperture?

Cos that a lens I plan to add

It never the same testing in shop wish I can try one a hour out about

I never used old cameras and i have took to it like a duck to water. Can't really sell it anymore than we already have done mate, we all love it so you'll be hard pushed not to buy one if you hang around here for too much longer! ;)

Telling her it was £100 might be pushing it a bit when she sees the size of it (stop it!!) so I'm gonna go with £300...

Anyone got any recommendations for leather straps? Seen a few I like but they're all made to order and would take weeks to deliver.

Any UK stockists people would recommend?

The new Firmware Update 4.0 released on May 11th should improve the AF speed. Will be interesting....

What the EVF really like on this. Does it flicker??

As the one I saw on OMD wasn't that good

Hopefully it will be an improvement like what the E-M1 recieved with the last update.

The EVF on it is one of the main reasons I sold my Nikon D800. After trying many awful EVFs on the market I wasn't convinced that mirrorless is for me but the xt-1 changed that.

Getting close now.

What DR like on this

On the 12mm it is possible to clip the corners if you use a grad at odd angles, No problem at all in portrait or landscape with it straight though.

Prob won't bother me too much as I always make sure the picture good from camera

Best way but PP does play its part in modern photography hence why alot of us shoot RAW.

Just tried to use the wi-fi and connect it to my phone and the phone won't recognise the camera. Any pointers?

There are several apps (on iOS at least), I could only get one to work for transferring photos, which oddly was the remote app, not the transfer one.

I've downloaded two apps from the google play store. 'camera app' and 'transfer app' the camera found the phone but the phone didn't recognise the camera. Not that it's a big deal for me, i was just having a play whilst 'holding the baby'

Wish Mr. Parcelforce would hurry up. Doesn't he know i need to shoot random crap at high iso around the house???
