The Fabulous Fuji X owners thread

I love the photo of Christ the Saviour. Absolutely brilliant shot! Which lens were you using? I am a recent convert to Fuji and am very impressed by my XT2. Still hanging onto my 6D though which is equally impressive.

Thanks Mary, I was very pleased with this shot. It was my new-to-me 16-50XC, a perfect little travel lens alongside the 50-230XC.

Another very nice shot Graham, love the reflections :) The foliage is terribly good too :D

LOl. thanks Dave, I don't pixel peep but Ive never really noticed to much problems with foliage. If you are using the latest ff mega pixel cameras you obviously are going to get more detail in the foliage.

One from last night in Moscow, the Orthodox Cathedral of Christ the Saviour. I was about to give up when two local photographers with a bunch of top-end gear turned up, looking at their watches. Sure enough, five minutes later all the lights were turned on.

A beautifully taken shot Ian, love the colours and lighting. I have both the XC lenses and love them.

Well, that was unexpected, went into Nottingham as a belated birthday treat for my son and came back with an X-T1, granted it's not boxed, got the wonky door and the rubber is coming off but it was a decent price so it came home with me

That sounds like a "Result" to me Sir, "ENJOY"(y)

George.

yeah really liking it actually. well, its the only lens i have for this system at the moment so I've been forced to use it more than i may have if i'd bought more lenses.

It's a "Cracking" lens in my book Sir, and without a doubt my fav' Fuji prime lens. Optically excellent.(y)

George.

Hi Mary, And welcome aboard the Fuji-X part of TP, looking forward to hearing from you and maybe seeing some of your images on the forum. "Enjoy".(y)

"Excellent" Fujigraph Sir, well composed, perfect exposure, and good PP work giving a full range of tones with detail in the highlights & shadows.(y)

George.

George, thanks, the exposures not perfect, the Window is blown to the right, it was part of a bracketed sequence, but the unknowing subject moved during the sequence!! - Members of The Public just don't know their place :D:D:D

John, I bought a used x-t1 off here earlier in the year. It had a bowing door and peeling rubber too. As far as I could tell, it was about 2 years old.

I tried my luck with Fuji repairs and phoned them up. I explained that the camera was out of warranty, however that the bowing door and peeling rubber was in fact a well documented defect. The bloke that I spoke to said that he would email me a repair form and to complete it and put that it was still in warranty on the form. I did that and emailed it back... 2 days later I received a repair posting box in the post. I returned the camera the same day, which was a Friday IIRC, and got the camera back the next Friday (8 days later). It had a new door fitted, new rubber grip fitted as well as something done to the sensor. It was like a brand new camera. All done free of charge.... Some service!

Give them a ring and see what they say. You've nothing to lose.
Same here. Fuji repaired my 3 years old Fuji XT1 for free.

Glad I didn’t sell the 90mm after all, the octopus wasn’t so happy!!

What a lovely pup.... I had a look at the larger image on Fickr and noticed you have missed the focus on the eyes. Not noticeable on here, but on the larger image it looks like you have caught the paws / toy with the focus point. Just an observation, as the lighting exposure etc are all very good.

I’ve just checked back on the camera you are right, the T20 even with the grip and the 90 is a bit top heavy. In my defence he won’t keep still unless food is involved!!

Cheers Graham!

That hill/mountain is the tallest peak in County Donegal and is fairly iconic - it's instantly recognisable to anyone familiar with Donegal yet can look really different depending on location and weather. The exposed rock is mostly quartzite and it really catches the setting sun - when you can see the sun that is! I had been tempted to head to the coast on Saturday evening but went inland instead and was very pleased that I did as this sort of light is a relative rarity here!
