The Fabulous Fuji X owners thread

Nice part of the world, not so good for fishing though all I caught was ugly spider crabs. Stayed in a pub at Seatown so didn't have far to walk for the beach, weather looks much nicer in your photo than I had too

Thanks for the nice photo and nostalgic reminder of a pleasant break

Had a two week break as both my boys love dinosaurs so it was lovely wondering along the beach finding ammonites with the,my wife loves the place for other reasons(Broadchurch)

Loved it so much down there that we may even look at getting a caravan down that way now.

Lugged a 1DX MKII and a bag full of lenses down there aswell as the Fuji's but they only came out once in the complete two weeks, really loved the freedom of the X-T1 and X100T

On the margins of being on topic, but if anyone comes across a good value second hand 16-55 as they trawl for an x-t2 can you let me know? Been waiting for one to come up here, Mpb or the Fuji Refurbished for months!

Anyone have an xt1 large handgrip they want to sell?
I do - stick a wanted ad up and let me know - it's in great condition as I mainly used the battery grip. Speaking of which, I've also a battery grip if you want to put a wanted ad up for that!

My daughter was also dinosaur mad as a youngster and we went on a fossil hunt at Lyme Regis in the rain, also went to a dinosaur museum in Dorchester on the way home to London.
Still got the Triceratops mug we bought there and my daughter is twenty five now, also went to a dinosaur park in Norfolk, full size models there and was good fun.

Another nice photo there, sold all my canon FF gear couple of years ago and purely Fuji now, miss those dinosaur orientated days out, enjoy them whilst your kids are young ( bit envious, happiest time of my life)

Keep an eye on MPB, there's been a couple in the last 3-4 weeks at around £659 - a lot cheaper than brand new (£850) but they are dearer than they were a few months ago used!

Camera Solutions in Chester had a used one with 6 months warranty last week, don't know the price but give them a call

I had the opportunity on 2 occasions in last few weeks to purchase from the Fuji refurb when they were £549 but by the time I had pondered they had gone. They only get one in at a time and they are now £649.

I bought one the other day from Camera Solutions Chester for £676, I know cameraworld have one at the moment used but it's £766.

Both may be pushing it... I'll put an ad up now. Thanks

Foolishly, I assumed the email sign up for when stock comes in would actually mean I received an email!

Evening all. Been away for a while, in Switzerland and then Crete (can't grumble). About 5000 exposures between the two , but here's one from each holiday...haven't sorted through most of the Crete shots yet, so there will probably be better to come...eventually! ;)

Doesn't sound great. Personally I'd rather pony up another £40 or so and get a used Contax/Yashica mount Zeiss Planar 50/1.7 from FFordes and a cheap adapter.

I saw someone wandering round with an X-T! I was going light so only had the X30 round my neck. (Chania.) Those back streets are a maze, aren't they!!!

Yeah, I'd looked at the reviews before. Hence my request for one of you lot to buy one

Many thank Alan and a very kind offer.
Have had a read up and see it still does super fast mode so can wait for a few weeks to get one.
Have got a couple of batteries coming with it anyway and i the thing i loved was how small they are compared to a 1 series Canon with a grip so it wont be on it most the time in all honesty.

Couple of real nice shots Dave, particularly #1 with its good composition, spot on exposure, and lovely receding plains.(y)

George.

Might have been me! I was in Crete for 11 days, and went into Chania for a least a few hours on all but a couple. Yes, the Turkish Quarter in particular is full of wonderful back alleys. The only problem, apart from the strong light, is that often they're so narrow that there's nowhere to stand to take a picture of all the good stuff you can see :banghead:. But I love it anyway. My fourth time there, and it's been interesting to see how my pictures of the place are changing.

Good service needs a mention when it's provided! Xt2 ordered Friday about 11am from Panamoz, I Just checked tracking and it's due for delivery Monday. That is awesome
Wow that's quick, the lens I ordered from Camera Solutions on Wednesday isn't getting delivered until Monday and there in Chester!!!.

I ordered mine yesterday from Panamoz before 10am. Tried the TNT tracking link they gave me and it doesn't recognise the number.

Odd, mine recognised straight away. No doubt it won't be far behind or alongside.
