How does the 33/1.4 compare to the 35/1.4? I think the 33 is quite a lot newer, isn't it?

not much bigger than the PD 3l. Not as nice but opens better anf fits the xt3 with the 56 and 16 with a small amount of space for odds. At a push could squeeze in the 35mm f2.

Not as nice was probably a bit harsh. I liked the colour and fabric of PD rather than the shiny look of this one. It just looked nicer IMO and just felt nicer. That said, the strap mechanism is better on this one and it opens up a lot better.

I used the PD 10L to carry my A73 with a 100mm macro and a 50/1.4 Zeiss into work today. Good size for this, with the dividers set up for camera going in with LCD facing up and 2 side sections adjacent works well with 10L.

Made the right choice, 6L is far too small with PD sling, even though I’ve seen videos people saying it fits…the opening, with like a clamp design opening, makes the top 20% of the bag very narrow.

Probably been done to death already on here, what are peoples thoughts on the TTartisan 27mm 2.8 V the Fuji 27mm 2.8 ? I just looking at a pancake lens for occasional use
 
This was with the TTA 27mm, iso 1250, f5.6 on my x-t20

i quite like it - it seems quick and accurate enough. If I’m 100% honest I’d have liked the Fuji for a little bit smaller size but they were going for £240-ish on eBay so I got the TTA for £125 new from an eBay seller

I have it too; I agree with @damianmkv that I'd prefer the size of the Fuji, but for the money I really like it. The AF is good, and it's really light. Depending on the conditions it can have a bit of a filmic look to the colours, too. This was taken with it last summer. As you can see, there's quite a bit of vignetting wide open, but I like that tbh.

I'd be taking it out in the rain Dave to "test" its weather sealing which if anything like my X-T2s will be fine. (y)
 
Toying with a nagging desire to look at a macro lens for my x-s10. Any recommendations? Budget not that big, so would be used Most likely.

Well you could try reversing rings or extension tubes to start with until you're sure. I have the 80mm fuji (part of trading my Nikon stuff), but they're not cheap.
Alternatively the Iowa one is supposed to be pretty good. Personally no idea on that though.

If you can find one of the old 60mm lenses, they're not too bad. I personally use a set of extension rings on my 35 f1.4 & 50-140.

The only problem with extension rings on shorter focal length lenses is that the working distance becomes quite short especially when bigger magnifications are involved (or you start combining extension rings), this chart might be useful


But it is a very cost effective way to get into Macro photograhy, especially with 3rd party rings
 
Just a personal observation, in case it helps anyone else.

I bought a 18-55 to go with my XT4 the other week. I was unsure wheter to go for the 18-55 or 16-80, mainly dues to size and weight.

So I picked up a 16-80 from WEX to see what it was like (as I still have a return window on the 18-55 from MPB).

Obviously the 16-80 is bulkier and a little heavier, but it really balances well with the XT4.
With the 18-55 my left hand had to sort of reach up to support the lens and did not feel quite right.
But with the 16-80 it just rests nataurally on my left hand.

So the 18-55 is going back I think

Just in case anyone is looking, 23mm 1.4 square hood in classifieds, bought in the expectation it would fit a 56mm but it doesnt!

I've been using Kodachrome64 for most pics and like it, but I want something that really makes colours pop.

I used to shoot in Velvia all the time, and felt like all the other recipes were a bit muted in comparison. I tried a recipe that I found on YouTube though, and I've been using it pretty much all the time since - first on my X-T30 which didn't have all the options, and now on my X-T4. I'm very happy with it, it just seems to work for everything. Here's the link:

Ah yes I've used Reggies Portra a few times and have it set up on the camera. I'll invest some time in it and see how I get on. Thanks!
PS his b&w recipe is pretty good. That's what I used in the pics I posted a couple of weeks back.

I've tried this a few months ago and haven't looked back, it's always what I shoot with, looks pretty good. The only change I do is I remove the grain as I prefer to add it in post if necessary.

Just put this into mine, cheers…I found Velvia to be okay but find its colour balance to be too yo-yo for my liking. It can get too magenta at times in some situations.

I have 2 Duracelll ones for my X-T2 they are fine.
P.S. I know it's a different battery but the brand is good.

PSA parts who are the brand licensee do them at £30.29. Delivery £9 so you'd need to but at least two to amortise delivery.

(I use dotFoto branded non-OEMs - so can't offer an actual opinion).
