My favourite book was written mid century titled “ down to a sunless sea “ it’s about a nuclear war following a energy crisis and in all honesty looks like a script for the current state of the world .
Out of print these days but a worthy read if you can find one

I have seen it on Amazon and the first review I saw was from 2012......apart from that in Trump's America 'they' are not going to be thrown in 3rd world status due to an energy crisis any time soon.
However the same can't be said for the rest of the world!
