Yes
So here is a little game for you.
Last week (Friday in fact) I won an eBay auction for something at a very good price (less than half the price of sales of the same thing are fetching).
I put this down to the time the auction ended, the quality of the pictures and the fact the item looked very dirty.
I was prepared to take the risk, and I don't mind cleaning the item up.

So I had a message from the seller just after the win, congratulating me on getting what was a £600 item when new for £200. He also said he'd post it on Tuesday, as Monday was the bank holiday.

Great I thought!

So now it's Friday again, I've not heard anything from the seller regarding postage, it's not been marked as dispatched on eBay, and he hasn't replied to the message I sent him yesterday asking for an update.

So here is the game..

Will it or won't it ever arrive? .....

Parcel Force/RM? :-)
Matt

The listing stated RM second class @ £5. However the item weighs probably 15kg and would cost more in the region of £30 to ship with parcel force. I'm not sure RM would even take it due to the size.

That's also assuming the seller hasnt got cold feet and thinks he can sell it for more. That's one of the (many) things I hate about e-bay.
Hope this isnt the case in your "win", maybe he's gone on holiday, you'd be amazed at what some people do.

Matt

He must be reading this.
Just had a message saying it's been Sent first class recorded, might arrive tomorrow.. we'll see :D

you is going to get a bag-bricks :-)

This intrigues me ,its dirty ,it's big ,its heavy you got it cheap so FFS tell us what it is it's in the post we can't outbid you

A double bass drum pedal..nothing that exciting.

On the odd occasion I have sold something on eBay that failed to attract the bids that it should I have always posted and taken the hit, but interestingly its always those buyers that ended up with a 99p bargain that often fail to leave any feedback. Have had quite a few were I have won a 99p bargain and never had the goods delivered, even had a couple sellers that actually contacted me to tell me they are not selling it at such a low price.

Yes I've had the same multiple times. I've always honoured any sale, although I rarely get such a low price, as I market my goods properly, but sometimes it doesn't reach as much as I'd hoped, but I still honour it.
Had several items "go missing" that I won for cheap. Keep looking and a month later the seller mysteriously has it for sale again.

Not yet.
Got a "missed you" card from parcel force though, so that might be it.
Damn plebs have taken it to the main post office in town rather than their depot, so gonna have to pay £3 for an hours parking just to pop in for 5 minutes and get it. Plus it means going into town and dealing with the locals. :help: :geek:
