Also worth noting that the three people he has modelled himself on Lincoln, Kennedy and King, were all assassinated....
 
As an American, I am thrilled. Obama is just a man...he doesn't walk on water or turn water to wine. He does, however, have style AND substance, having appointed a cabinet of bright (or even brilliant) people of all political stripes. He stands poised to be a great leader.

Only time will tell if the promise plays out...but you can't blame us for being pleased to say "so long" to "Dubya."

You could have fooled me, the way the sycophants were going on about him yesterday I was expecting him to rise heavenwards in a beam of light after the inauguration...

My you're cynical this morning Flash! Any, that won't happen until the end of his 8 years, when the world will be at peace! ;)
 
Be interesting to see what those "End Timers" Stateside think about him.

Stuff like this:

If the end is prophesied for 2012, then the 2008 election may be the last.
If Obama wins, then he may be the last U.S. President. Eerily, the Bible says
the Antichrist world leader will come in on a platform of peace before all hell
breaks loose. And Obama's whole campaign is PEACE... he will END WAR and
CHANGE the world... and the media portray him as a savior... a messiah. So
he could fit that prophecy if he got elected in 2004 and 6 months later allows
our destruction to begin. The Bible prophecy says that 3.5 years before the
end of this age the world will be at rest cheering, "peace, peace" then comes
"sudden destruction" for the deceived and unprepared. We all watched Obama
tour the nations of earth this week preaching his platform of peace, and they
gathered like sheep chanting his mantra. Now, I don't think Obama is the anti-
christ, but he may lead us right into the TRIBULATION. Think about it.

Dunno why it says 2004, but what's four years when you're predicting The End?

Could he be the first US president to have an attempt on his life since Reagan? I think either by a 'crazed' white boy who doesn't want a black man in the hot seat, or by an African American who thinks Obama has 'sold out' in a year or two. Just my thoughts anyway.
 
A couple of strange rumors from pretty reliable sources floated past me recently.

A friend of mine went church shopping in Lake County recently and, at one church,
the pastor prophesied to his flock that if Obama won the election it was a sure sign
that the end times were upon us.

Another person reported that at a drunken Republican gathering on election night
those in attendance were calling President-Elect Obama “The Antichrist.”

The margin of error in public opinion is frequently shaped by folks who have no
idea of what they are talking about ...
 
lol well if it is the end times nowt we can do about it lol, perhaps to do with all these ufo sightings that seem to be going mad at the moment, least we will be there to take piccys :D
