I hereby request a raise in salary for the following reasons.

  • I do physical labour.
  • I work at great depths.
  • I don’t get public holidays or weekends off.
  • I work in a damp environment.
  • I work in a dark environment that has no ventilation.
  • I work in high temperatures.
  • My work exposes me to contagious diseases.

After considering your request and the arguments you put forward, I will have to refuse your request for the following reasons.

  • You do not work for 8 hours straight.
  • You fall aslepp after brief work periods.
  • You don’t take initiative.
  • You need to be pressured and stimulated into starting work.
  • You leave the workplace messy at the end of your shift.
  • You don’t always observe the necessary safety regulations such as the wearing of protective clothing.
  • You refuse to work double shifts.
  • And if that was not enough, you always enter the workplace carrying two suspicious bags!
