Venison, every year for the last 20. ;)

I'll do some white meat and fish also.

I always wondered why they leave so quickly....

We have a turkey at Easter, seems to fit somehow. Nice Norfolk turkey, yummy (y)

Good shout! I make a pot chicken with lots of root veg, separate out the stock to save, then use some to thicken for a sauce along with dumplings. Could do the same with the leftover turkey on the bones rather than trying to get it off

Was going to have Prancer and Dasher for christmas dinner but they were two deer. Boom boom.

A friend of mine said he was "Going to have Donna and Blitzen for Christmas".

I said "That's ok but I don't like Turkish food"..

Hmmm .....

I am now cooking for myself, Manfriend, his sister, his wife(!) who is coeliac, his daughter who is vegan and his son. I have only met his sister once for about two hours and his son ..... three times briefly .....

What could possibly go wrong? :D

So far he has bought 48 pigs in blankets ......

Thought I would let you all know how it went! :D

Surprisingly well is the answer.

Met wife and vegan daughter to discuss food requirements on 22nd ... seemed to be doable without too much bother.

Everyone had stuff they could eat, I had a sufficiency of wine and didn't do any washing up. (y) I cooked 36 pigs in blankets and there were only 2 left. No one needed to lie in a darkened room and there was hardly any leftovers. (I don't count the 2 roasties that I dealt with as the table was cleared!) :D

Manfriend has decided that I deserve a nice weekend away .... bonus! :)
