The cars we used to own

That's such a classy car, I really should get my camper van vinyl-roof'd

This was my pride and joy,Photo taken under the M4 overpass by my Girlfriend with a Halina Paulette, Agfa slide film, bless her,Jan is now my wife of over 42 years.

I'll join in with a couple of pics, the first from 1963, my first vehicle, it cost £410.00 on the road including road tax, passenger seat, rear seat, heater, sun visors, seat belts and rear view mirror (all extras at the time of purchase) took me 3 years to pay off the HP. So so much fun in this van, and not only driving :whistling:

On the wrong computer to have access to pics of my Frogeye. Quoted the A35 post as well since a lot of the running gear from the Austin went into the Austin Healey. James Hunt used to stoat around in an A30/35 van and reckoned he had as much fun driving that near the limit (and beyond!) as anything else.

For interest's sake, back in the early '80s, my Frogeye cost me £220 to insure TPF&T - 35+ years later, I don't pay too much more for fully comp on a 3l Jag XF! (OK, it's £350 or so but in relative spending terms, that's way less!)

I don't have any :( all our photos pre-late 90's, early 00's were lost :( Got some of my late father in laws somewhere though... lots of lotus'! Currently got a lotus esprit and a ferrari F355 in the garage

Only got digital photos of those 2 though!

My first car after passing my test was a MK3 1600XL, Red with a black vinyl roof, I don't have any pictures of it..:(

I haven't owned anything as beautiful since..

:nono: ^^^

Seem to have lost the ability to upload pictures :bonk:

Here we go, I had one of those as well but didn't mention it as I thought the cars needed to be real ones. I might have looked happier with the bling wheels, though.

When I saw this thread I thought I have no images of the cars i used to drive however by a stroke of serendipity I found this image while having a clear our over the Christmas holiday, its a scan from a print of my ride during my years at university in the mid 80's. Looking back I regret not trying to flog the number plate, definetly worth more than the car! It was awaiting a new O/S door and window in this shot having being bashed by late night reveller.
