I've just been looking round at existing veneered cameras to get some inspiration and came across this site;

http://www.carboncameras.com/index.html

Looks like they've put together an 11"x17" multi-format carbon bodied camera...wow. Really neat idea too with the film holders having dark bags fitted around them that stay attached while it's loaded

I really love innovation like this to get around problems caused by design. Definitely an interesting site and some excellent example work.

That dark sleeve is very clever though it is probably a bear in the wind.

Yeah, I see what you mean although from the way he fitted it, it looks like the sleeve stays attached to the film holder and attaches to the camera using magnets so will probably hold its' shape.

it is pro a bear in the wind

I kinda think if you just change one letter, like most typos it'll make sense, I just can't see it, I am $h1t at crosswords though...:D

He looked like he took an 11x17 photo of the shutter release cable.

I dunno about the bag, it looks a bit......fallible, like if you don't seal the join between the camera and the dark slide properly as you insert the film, and again when its detached, the opening to that bag was flappin around a bit before he folded it over, there hast to be something going on with the bag opening, you don't just offer it up to the camera and bobs yer aunt fanny, maybe there are some magnets or something..

och....Stevie....

I thought the same. I hope it works; it looks a great bit of kit. Can't help thinking the bag isn't there yet though.
