The Canon 350d thread.

I sometimes feel a little inadequate with many having expensive cameras but it's nice to know there are lots of people on here who use it.
Richard Avedon, an American photographer, was once asked by Ernest Hemingway what sort of camera he used. Avedon replied, 'What sort of typewriter do you use?'

It is all too easy to get caught up in "lens envy" and catching the upgrade bug. Have a serious look at your photos and ask yourself how they could be improved. Then ask yourself whether a bigger and better camera would've given that improvement. I'll bet it wouldn't.

I have no plans to replace my camera until I am able to take photos I am totally happy with. I think that will be a long time.

I'm really liking this one, lovely photo.

Some great pics on this thread. Just goes to show if you have the passion you don't need the latest lightbox to produce great images.

Totaly agree with you on that!

The 350D even the much despised kit lens that came as standard can produce great macro images.

Lovely shot that! Was this just with a straight lens, or with tubes or A N Other?

Well, sort of agree with that, but most 350d owners will replace the kit lens asap! So an upgrade in one form. I never regreted the purchase of my IS lenses, they improved my pictures no end! No plans for replacing my body though.
