This afternoon, with my truck parked in front of my house...someone so kindly got in through the back door...stole all my cd's...my dvd player and my minolta point and shoot film camera...! Its not about the things that are now missing, its just the feeling of being violated, that my personal space was gone through...and things I've worked hard to buy...are now in some scumbags hands, who did it all in broad daylight...while I was home and I missed it...somewhere between 11 - 1 pm before I went back in my truck to run some errands...I feel pretty sad....:( Why can't people just keep their grubby mitts to themselves.

The pure cheek of some people :( I hope you sort everything out.

I feel for you and know exactly how you feel as my wife and I were also robbed of many of our possessions a few years ago. They broke into our garage, took all my tools, power tools, my poor kids bikes, my poor daughters teddy's (100's of them in a bag - she was heartbroken), our fitness gear (treadmill, rowing machine), petrol mowers/strimmers, my spare PC's et al... all wiped out... gone to some low lifes.

As you say, scumbags is not a tough enough word to use for these... errrm... scumbags!

Sorry to hear that. People like that make me sick.

Four years ago, whilst my wife and I slept, some scumbag used just a screwdriver (According to the police) to open our UPVC front door and took my laptop and my wife's handbag and, 20 minutes later, withdrew £300 from our bank account using my wife's debit card (Don't ask me how they new the PIN!).

The laptop, the contents of the handbag (including mobile phone and cash) were all replaced by insurance and the bank even refunded the £300. But none of that mattered compared to the violation of our home, or the horror my wife felt when she went downstairs first thing in the morning and found the front door wide open!

being burgled is a horrible thing however it is done. I felt a similar sense of violation when I had a car stolen 10 years ago. It was recovered but it had been damaged. I was actually quite relieved when the insurance company wrote it off!

Thanks everyone...its nice to hear I'm not alone...but at the same time, it makes me sad knowing we're not the only ones getting ripped off! I was afraid to open my eyes and look outside in case my entire truck was gone this time, still there...thankfully! I still can't believe that in this day and age of mp3's and ipods that someone would trouble themselves to steal my cd's...they weren't even in cases!! LOL. Jerks.

Unfortunately, with a lot of these morons, is's a case of steal first, think about what you're stealing later! This often means that the victim's property just ends up in a skip somewhere.
