How do you make the black border around the photo please. Is it photoshopped?

Yes this is usually done in photoshop. You dont need photoshop to add a border to an image. It can be done in most image editing software.

any guide please on which and how? I have photshop but completely latin so far to me

I do it in Irfanview, by increasing the canvas size and picking a colour. Tutorials are Google-able.

There are a few ways. I select the outer edge of the photo, then Edit>Stroke the selection.

Then in the options dialogue that pops up, choose thickness of the Stroke in pixels, and also choose 'Outside' .

Load an action in PS from Jodi.......

http://www.atncentral.com/frames.htm

Scroll to Jodi's Multi frame........

If you don't know how to load the action in PS let me know and I will try to explain.

In photoshop I go to Image<Resize<Canvas size

I set the size in percent (usually take 110 percent) and colour to black. Et voila, border created.

Thank you, that's super easy and works a treat :D

I always used LR Mogrify for this but now, with LR3 having better watermarking options I wonder whether there'll be an LR Mogrify for LR3 - if not, what is the quickest way of doing this? I don't want to load PS unless I have to - doing it in LR would be ideal!

To quickly select the outer edge of the image use CTRL+A

In Photoshop press T on your keyboard, or select the Text tool and there you have it. Just place where you think it would fit and click on the tick.

Script writer (see my signature) will add a border and also add a signature (graphical and/or text). Have a play!

To add any colour of border in photoshop is really easy. When you have finished editing your pic click on IMAGE in the top tool bar,go down to canvas size and type in the size of border you want (2cm x 2cm) for example, then select what ever colour you want and hey presto:):) Just make sure the box with the arrows has them all selected or you will end up with a border on one side only.
