So, I was taking the f601 for a spin in Crickhowell. I fired off the last shot of my roll of Vista, and decided to retire to a pub for lunch. I sat down, ordered, popped open the back of the camera to change the roll, and stared in horror at the film spanning the shutter for half a second before closing it again. The f601, unlike the compacts I've been shooting for the last month, doesn't auto-rewind (at least not by default)
I pondered whether it was worth spending £2.50 to get it developed. In the end, curiosity got the better of me, and I'm glad it did. One shot was lost, three ruined, but the rest are fine! It's a testament to how well the film is rolled up on the take-up spindle, I guess. (Also the pub was quite dark)
