They're pretty much universal to fit bridge and DSLR cameras. Suggest you take the S5800 if you can to Asda and see if it fits. It should do

I bought a cheapo argos tripod for my camcorder (a canon camcorder strangely enough ) last year and it supports my Oly with a 55-200 on no problem. It cost me less than a tenner. By no means a fantastic tripod but it's light small and tough enough to get thrown around in the boot of my car where it lives :) Put it this way, I won't be forking out for a manfrotto or redsnapper until my argos tripod actually breaks!

I bought a used Hama tripod of ebay for a tenner !

Fantastic. Very sturdy. Profil 79 is the model !

hama 62 fits my s9600 perfectly, which is a youch bigger than the s5800. £12.99 of amazon

hama star 75 could be worth a look..... think tesco do them aswell!;)

Best and cheap don't go together, but for the weight of your camera any cheap one would do, my S5800 balanced nicely on a monopod with a spiked foot
