The best photo you've ever taken...

Hmmm, I struggle between these two, both printed on canvas and on my wall at home:

Some stunning shots in here people, brilliant work

Threads like this are difficult. It's like being asked "What's your favourite album ?" I guess it changes by your mood or style at the time.

Here are a couple of recent ones. Ask me next week and they would have changed:D

No point showing any more...haha that TomCat pic is the best i have seen on this forum...its ****ing RAD!!!!!!!!

11/ 10 thats fo sure!

Sorry to be picky, thats not a Tomcat, it's an Eagle.

And I have to say, of all the pics of the Eagle I have seen (that particular aircraft is part of the reasoning behind my nick) that is definitely one of the best, it is the type of pic that holds my interest in photography, it is the sort of pic I aspire to.

There are some brilliant photos shared here! It makes me proud to belong to this group to be honest!

This is one difficult question to answer. I can't pick a favourite because I personally categorise my photos, so I'll pick my favourite from a few categories.

1) Animals

2) Birds

Some really cracking images on this thread

I have three that I like for different reasons. I tried to choose between them but couldn't. So you get all three :P

Goldfinch (click to view large, it's worth it ;) )

All of yours make me go wow...

but i love love love this one! did you think of the concept?
So friggin' creative and class!

Thanks TinySpark. I'm glad you like it :)
I did think of it yes, I drew different angles and poses on a notepad, and I chose this one. It came out quite the same as the way I pictured it, even though I was going for a coloured photo at first, but the b&w is definitely more striking in this occasion! :)

It's a difficult thing choosing your best shot, I've got a few that still make me go "WOW" & feel smug at catching the moment.

However I keep going back to this shot, it's not the best technical wise & was take with my old 300D + Tamron superzoom BUT it still makes me grin every time I look at it :D

some fantastic pictures ...heres one of my favorites not the best in the world but i was pleased, as it took a lot of research just to find the animals and then i had to get close

This is probably my best in my short time as a hobby tog. Unfortunately taken before I discovered the wonders of RAW.

This is one of my favourite shots. Taken in Louisiana USA in 2003 while I was working out there:

It wasn't a "Big 'un" taken in Jungle Gardens - a part of the Tabasco Sauce factory complex, 6 miles from New Iberia.

How am I supposed to compete with you lot

:D

Anyway, I'm very proud of this one.

Rightly so Andy. It's a cracker mate.

So hard to choose just one from thousands. This is actually one I took this week and instantly became a favourite.

This is a hard one, I'll post a few.

This, because it is probably the best photo I ever took, and one of the first photos I ever took, so chuffed with it
3387779065_a6edd8d6c0.jpg

Canon 350d | Sigma 10-20 | On-board flash | 10mm | 1/200 | f/5

Because I thought it was going to turn out crap due to harsh settings and it's probably my favourite
3388584900_53856ea3fb.jpg

Canon 40d | Sigma 24-60 | 24mm | 1/25 | f/2.8

This because I wanted to do a new take on the famous building and I think it's been pretty successful
3388584418_a9e58d0992.jpg

Canon 40d | Sigma 24-60 | 60mm | 1/25 | f/2.8

This because it's exactly how I envisioned the image to be in my head when I took the shot. A week later, I relived that when I got around to processing it. Its one of the few times that I've got a shot to look exactly how I had envisioned it in my head.

Foodpoison:
Always love looking at that first one.
It's gotta be the best bike shot I've ever seen

Probably not my best but it is one that I enjoy looking at and my best are my cherished shots of family and of special moments that make me smile and sometimes shed a tear or two but aren't really for here ;)
