Seems I have maybe gone a little too OTT with some of my image borders, so wondering what people prefer?

Out of that choice i'd say 5 , i think you have too much black border in the others and number 5 is just right..

OOh yes... i didnt notice that! I like the fine inner black line of No. 3 it stops the photo and starts the border.

Same here. A close run thing between 3 and 5.

No 5 is best for this shot - but No 3 works better for all shots

White clouds bleed into white borders, dark areas into black borders, having both as a two thin borders stops any image bleeding out

Am I allowed to say that I think B&W borders are not such a good idea at all?

No border and presented on 18% grey/neutral ground is my favourite however you could argue that presenting on neutral ground is just adding an infinite border

I like subtle borders, but tend to prefer slightly coloured ones, nothing too ott!

1 and 4 catch my eye.

This is always a confusing one for me - do I have a black keyline around an image and have white around it, or vice versa and mount it on black with a white key line....

Was about to suggest something similar brad, I chucked this through the ps action I use for my images.

All a bit like marmite though borders, love em or hate em...

I like number 5 best from Garys collection. However Bradkb and Sepulchre's win it for me. I like landscape shots that have a minimal border as it accents the enormity of the landscape. A border "hems in" the scene for me and gives it a sense of...well...erm...borders/boundarys.(hope that makes sense.

Great shots though Gary. These are the types of Pics I would like to emulate myself. Thanks for the inspiration.

Truth ?.....no border, theres allready enough borders in front of my eyes, my flippin screen is a border, its bordering on the ridiculous, now dont go overboard with your borders.
I'm bored of borders.
