The best and the cheapest

Hi Guys,

I will buy a camera as a birthday present to my dad a new camera. He wants a pocket camera (not a DSLR) and with so many available and with different prices I really need help about which one is best price/quality. He will use it basically for landscapes and family events.

Also I'm thinking in buying one to myself and was considering the Panasonic LX3. Does anyone has one of this? What's your opinion.

I can reccomend Samsung P&S cameras as an owner. Have a look at this one. It is currently on offer reduced from £179 to £94.74. It is 13mp, 3.60 optical zoom, 2.7" LCD, it has image stabilisation and a host of other great features including blink and smile detection! It boasted 4* reviews BEFORE the price reduction! A great one to consider.
