The Ashes

I was planning a late night but this may not take so long......

I was planning a snack but I didn't even get my KP Chilli Nuts out.

Well done England. What a thrashing by the Poms!

Guess what the last days score was:

66-6

66 runs 6 wickets!

What a nice fitting number for the final day!

Nice early wicket, and the aussies have no Beer in there team.........

I was gutted that the coverage wasn't starting till 2 in the morning, but pleassantly surprised to be able to listen to the end of day one now, 233 for 9, with ponting out for another low score....LOvely!!

And I love having to retype the score cos we got another wicket!

A very nice first days play!

I was all set for a midnight start then had to try and find something to keep me busy till 2:00am. Managed to last till 06:30 then had a sleep till 9:00 before watching the end of the day's play.

All in all - a decent start.

KP for a duck, 3 for 82..........................................

ALL out for 187, but now 68 for three, and Ponting out for 1.

I'm just hoping that we skittle em quick and can bat and bat and bat....

Missed the whole of last night's play - how things can change !

We need a good day today.

391 to win, currently 39 for 2.............Hmmmmmmmmmmmm

Well, at least we still have James Anderson at the crease......................................

Well, at least we still have James Anderson at the crease......................................

:D:lol:

A few years ago, he had the highest average of any current player in test matches because he was never out, he'd rock up, get 10 or so and be not out, do that 5 or 6 times and you're right up there in the averages!

Well that's that then.

Back down to earth with an almighty bump.

Still think we'll retain the ashes though.............

I approached this weekend with massive optimism! I attended the WACA on Friday and had a great day, not the best days cricket but thought we still might get a result, maybe just a draw!
However the $$$$ I spent on tickets for today was a big waste, 45 mins of cricket and only 3 beers drank! Not the best day I have had at the WACA!

Good photo of the WACA. Shame about the cricket though. I heard all about it this morning when I spoke to my parents who live in WA. I will hopefully be out there on holiday this time next year.

Started watching it and could not believe how well we were doing when rain came so went to bed.

What a day, 10 wickets in hand and 50 odd ahead...

Back home from my Christmas holiday just in time.......

This is like watching a wounded animal die.

Dare I say I feel a bit sorry for them.

Nah
