I would say that’s pretty close it’s also gonna have the A9III body which is a huge improvement and the new card slots that support the quicker CFExpressI'm very interested in the A1 II, mainly due to seeing how good the subject recognition is on the A7RV as I've already said, for me that's the only improvement I'd want. 30fps is overkill for most things so I don't need more fps, pre-capture I think will get added but again not something that I'd use.
I think the A1 II will get a lot of criticism as it will only be an incremental update on the A1, but the A1's already that good it's hard to improve on imo. The question would be whether there'll be enough difference to make A1 users upgrade, which is unlikely imo, especially if it's £8000. I can't see it being that though, I'd expect it to be close to the A1 release price which was £6500 is my memory serves me correctly.
For fun here's my predictions for the A1 II:-
Same 50mp sensor
AI AF with improved subject recognition
Pre-capture
Focus Stacking
30fps
Improved LCD resolution
Probably the multiangle screen.
Probably some video specs that I know nothing about![]()
