I'm just a little jealous of you, with such beautiful weather.

Yesterday our son had surgery on a broken arm, and I spent the night in Oxford with him to make sure he was OK post anaesthetic. Went shopping on the way home, then baked a cake, had a shower & change, then prep'd lunch for my brother & his wife. Went over to the grandchildren, then came back, cooked dinner, cleared up and now I've just sat down to relax and do my online French lesson.

Good Friday was busy!

Been waiting so long for some nice weather, seems like winter’s gone on for so long.

Sorry to hear about your son, hope he makes a quick recovery.

Thanks. He fell off a climbing wall exactly 1 week ago, saved his face with his left arm but broke the ulnar and damaged the wrist. Went into the JR in Oxford and we finally got home 4am Saturday, only to have to get up at 6.30 to get him back in again for review about surgery or not. After some delays he was told Friday, only to then have it brought forward to yesterday. The surgeon was please with how it went (plate + 6 screews, apparently nice & strong) and today he wasn't too uncomfy.

This kind of repair is somewhat familiar - Ti rod in left femur, various bits wired together, screw in collar bone, now this. He shattered his pinkie so badly mountain biking that it required an external fixator, reassembled under local anaesthetic because he had to drive himself back from Vancouver to Whistler where he was working. Ben has a high pain threshold, and needs it.

Wow, sounds like a modern day Evel Knievel with all those injuries :eek:

He's a qualified mountainbike coach & guide and was training people how to jump and ride difficult sections in Canada and NZ. He's also a qualified ski tech and loves snow boarding. But TBH he just loves extreme sports & doing hairy-arsed stuff, and injuries are an unavoidable part of it.
 
I can't remember who it was who asked about going to race events, but I've just bought a ticket for the BTCC at Donington on Sunday 23rd April.

No, I actually didn't get time to look too deeply. I had a look at in Hard Off (a 2nd hand store chain) but found prices to be similar to the UK.

Memory cards were insane...at least on the High Street. I misjudged the larger file size on the A7R3 and ran out of memory 3 days to go....so went to Yodabashi Kyoto....

Sio that was like £50 for a 32G SD UHS01 card.......er,,,,no...

I went to Donki instead and got a cheap micro SD with adaptor for £10....seeing i needed 2 and shoot back up so I took a chance on a weird brand, got the job done.

Erm, i am not sure what to do with them yet. 42mp so these can be printed MASSIVE lol I always planned to make some kind of personal travel coffee table book but never got around to do it.

I've some printing to do myself..... I have 2 multi frames with 3 number 7"x5" in each. I'm going to do 3 Orion images & 3 film star trail images.

I done a book last April for my daughters 18th. I can't recall who I used now, but it was based in Europe - which I didn't realise at the time until the delivery info came through :rolleyes: It still got to me within a week though. I want to say about 68 pages for £90ish.....? I could be a little out there though.

Such a nice thing to have. I've another one to do for my boys 18th later this year. And me & my better half have been together 10 years next March so going to do one for that too.

Amazing night shots! It's also a great idea to make (physical) photo albums/books.
