Nothing too exciting ;) Currys were selling the 24-105mm for £550 and were eligible for the £200 cash back making them £350 so some bought a few to sell them on to make a bit of extra cash (y)

It was more than a few, more like majority of them since he had to claim cash back in his relatives' names.

depends on how far you'd go I guess. I'd have bought one, used it for a 3-6 months and sold it on.

I didn't know it was you (hence didn't call you out directly). Just remembered someone here did that.
If you hadn't discussed it as much as you did I probably wouldn't even have remembered that it happened.
You are welcome to make money however you wish just as I am free to disagree with it. And life goes on ;)
 
My little compact lens collection...

A bit big for my liking and I am not sure why they've cut corners with their EVF.
Will be interesting to see how their 200-600mm performs.

Don't think I'll ever own Z9/R3 sized bodies. Though R5 is plenty good for my needed. A1 is really an indulgence.
But at least with Z9 you get more battery life from having a larger body. R3 doesn't even give you any more battery life than the A1.

What a load of nonsense, a complete exaggeration.

I made one post saying I had bought a few of them and one more in reply to someone who asked about if I had been able to claim the cashback on them or not.

I hardly think that means that I over discussed it.

What exactly would you be calling me out on it anyway? What exactly is your problem? It really isn't any of your business.

I didn't for example call you out for the times I have seen you using this site for profiteering, I didn't even offer those lenses for sale here.

I don't do that i.e. use this site for profiteering, so there is nothing to call out.
I simply try to not make a loss which is hardly profiteering.

I didn't call you out (as I said I didn't remember who it was) you were the one that's jumped on the opportunity to own up.
I never said it was any of my business, I simply commented on what you posted publicly on this forum. If you don't want people talking about something its better not to post about it.

That isn't actually true though have seen you do it a few times.

Just as one example there was the Sandisk SD cards that you bought very cheap for the sole purpose of returning to Sandisk so that they would be replaced with UHS-II card's due to a compatibility problem at the time, you made quite a big deal of how clever you though you were at the time, which you then immediately sold on here for a vastly inflated price.

There has been a few other things as well but that is the one that comes first to mind.

Please respond to the questions I asked above, what exactly is your problem?

You are attacking my character to cover yourself which is really poor. I am not going to reply to you any more if you continue down this path.
(Yes I sold two sandisk SD cards but they would bought from amazon directly. IIRC the buyer even got the original receipt)

I had no problems but now you are making false accusations which I do not like.

I doubt very much that you were unaware that you were talking about me, it isn't exactly the first time you have made snide comments directed at me.

Very nice. I suppose the smallest lenses I have are the Takumar 28 and 35mm f3.5 but the Olympus Zuiko lenses are quite small too, but these do need a relatively large adapter.

Other news...

When I woke up this morning my right eye was blurry and it still hasn't completely cleared. I yawned a moment ago and it cleared a bit so I suppose I need to bath it or read my credit card bill and have a good cry :D

Has that happened to you or am I the only one?

I had an episode like that about 6 weeks ago, along with infected eczema in my ears. Drops cleared it.
 
The for sale section was set up many years ago, for members to sell their unwanted "kit" member to member.
We are not eBay. And do not charge Paypal or insertion fees, of course this makes the for sale sections very appealing to many,
because everything is pure profit.

We are also pleased when people own up to trading but we do have a pretty good idea who these are.
Generally, they "trade" more than one of the same item, sell several makes of cameras, / lenses or several types of non photographic kit.

All this is under discussion, but its a little way down the list as we, admin, have more important issues to sort first.

As I have a blurry eye I walked to the shops in the rain rather than drive but luckily the sun came out on the walk home. All pictures taken one handed as I had the shopping in the other :D
