?What's the other half then? Biscuit?
Well, he's half brother so I'm wondering what the other half is... But if you have to explain a joke...
And half man half biscuit? I'd have thought you'd have heard of them?

f***sakes you lot did a great job killing my joke
And I haven't even been drinking.

But it was my joke I posted it a few weeks backf***sakes you lot did a great job killing my joke

I don’t get the Spartacus joke either,Joke wars!
Reminds me of the final scene of Spartacus when they all stand and say "I am Spartacus!"
We aren't that dramatic, we just say "It was MY joke!"
Somebody better post a picture or say something about camera or this'll go on all night...

Hang on let me google thatCalm down everyone, there's gonna be a riot in tTrumpton tonight.

I think we’re talking milliseconds in terms of AF speed differences between most cameras these days, I very much doubt it will any difference in the real world. For example the D5’s AF system is better than my D850 and my previous D750 but I don’t recall a time when I’ve thought “damn if only my camera had focused 2 milliseconds faster”I hope any newbies reading this thread can follow it
Anyway...
I've been thinking about getting an A7III and I'm wondering how fast It is to focus. I have a couple of Panasonic MFT cameras that with a fast lens are incredibly fast, all I have to do is point the camera and press the shutter button and by the time it's depressed the camera has metered and focussed and it takes the shot. I don't suppose any A7III users have ever tried fast MFT kit and can compare the speed of the two systems? See here at about 5:30...

I don't expect an A7 to be quite as fast as it has bigger and heavier glass to move about but if it could get somewhere near this responsiveness I could use an A7III in the same scenario I'd use MFT, especially with the electronic shutter for fast shooting. Any feedback from owners on responsiveness?

Hi, I have not got an A7iii, but poor AF performance of my A7R2 made me buy a Nikon D800 and a Nikkor 4/70-200 to take pictures of rallye cars (in motion) ... ---Any feedback from owners on responsiveness?

My closest experience of that was skinheads versus skinheads Skegness bank holiday ‘71,we ran the derby lot over castle gardens![]()
Thanks for the vote of confidenceThe a7iii, 55 and 85 are ridiculously fast combos, they will track much better than any m43. Even the big sigma lenses lock very fast.
