In that case they are all soft and rubbish. All Zeiss.
Also your top right extreme corner is softer than top left extreme corner.

We may have ****ed up on the first one, hold on, sorry, I mean XQD cards never fail, and good photographers don't need more that 5fps.As you clearly work in Nikon’s marketing department, maybe you could also explain the lack of a 2nd card slot, lack of exposure comp dial or 5fps burst?![]()

I think the best defence of the single card slot yet has been a wildlife photographer saying "I've not come across a bear or possum yet who's willing to sue me over some lost images" - loose quote
It'll be mostly wedding photographers who are worrying about the single card slot, I've already seen sports togs say they swap cards in and out as they shoot because they will have runners take cards and go back them up through the shoot
The same people the a7 and a7R were for.Wildlife with Nikon’s AF system - I’m not so sure. Sports with 5fps - no chance. Wedding togs and no 2nd card slot.
Exactly who is this camera made for? [emoji23]

I think you will be staying with Sony then.If it were 2013, your argument would be valid. Only it’s 2018 and Sony have moved the goalposts. I honestly feel like Nikon gimp their own systems on purpose, it’s the main reason why I left! The only reason I’d return would be affordable lenses - but it would seem native Z glass is just as expensive as Sony, so what’s the point.
Only if the Z mount cameras are a success may you see third party lenses for it, and even then Sigma seem to be aiming mid to high too with their lenses, so that leaves the other manufacturers who generally may have had one or two stand out lenses in their ranges for DSLR's, but generally meh. Entry level stuff. Tamron and Tokina seem to be not getting into E Mount that much, and I would expect the same for the Z Mount for a few years. Just my opinion of course. For me...
A compact 20mm f1.8/2.
A compact 24mm f1.8/2.
A compact 35mm f1.8. Get on with it Sony!
A decent 50mm f2.8 macro.
And if I was going mad a 150mm f2.8 macro.
I think they already do a wide zoom. I liked my Sigma 12-24mm.
I'm still impressed with the 85mm f1.8![]()

DSC03628I was using my most annoying lens (because it is difficult to achieve really good results cos I'm such an amateur as you will see) yet that I simply love to use. The trioplan 100 works easily outside in the sun And the pup, well she's a tiny active thing and only static when curled up in her bed

I don't have any yet. I'm looking for options that people have tried and tested. Cheers.
I thought of you as I read that piece.I love my Wotancraft Ryker but that is fugly.
What’s the learning curve on the new Sony from canon? Thinking of starting the switching process to a 7r3 from 10 years with canon

I had a BIG bag for my DSLR stuff but I can't remember ever taking it out with me. I used to keep stuff in it at home and take it out but leave it in the back of the car and take what I wanted in a smaller bag
I still haven't decided what to do about a bag, buy a Ryker or have one made or just not bother.
I wouldn't buy a Wotancraft expecting out door durability, to me it would just be a nice thingActually I have a Billingham which is quite nice, it's the second I've had and I haven't used either as I tend to prefer something more anonymous. My Lowepro bags have taken a lot of out door use in their stride and apart from some staining on one they're still perfectly fine.
I'm sorry, but you must be doing something wrong.I also find you need to up the exposure even though it looked right in the EVF.
Every review, every owner bar you apparently, says one of the advantage of the mirrorless and the EVF is wysiwyg! No exposure or white balance problems because you can see them in the viewfinder!

The Z mount seems to have been a choice to allow higher quality lenses, with the shorter flange distance said to improve corner to corner sharpness. You generally pay what lenses are worth, with maybe the exception of the 18-200/300mm type large zooms, so if these lenses far are very good, they will be worth the money.
Time will tell if these Nikon lenses are worth the money though, and then how well they sell. If both are positive I doubt you will see many 'affordable/cheap' lenses on the Z mount from Nikon. If Nikon are going after the mid to high value end of the market they better have the quality to back it up, and if they do, then no cheap lenses. Of the primes, the f1.8's are normally the affordable lenses, not so with Nikon this time. Imagine the price of f1.4's, f1.2's if they go there.![]()

Nikons marketing seems to be going down the same road as Fuji's... claim everything is new and shiny and didn't exist before you invented it and make outlandish claims about your gears performance as if no one would have the temerity to bring the competition into the discussion or in any way question anything you say.
But you've made her top purple Twist and her trousers aren't right either and her skin looks unnatural in yours too so one click clearly doesn't do it. The shot isn't auto WB BTW, it's fiddled with for effect.
The shot may not be perfect but it's good enough for purpose (sending electronically to her mam) and if and when it gets printed I'll adjust it for best effect then.

So which is best option for a 35mm lens for Sony for photography not interested in video?
Sigma ART 1.4 native ime, Ive used the Zeiss / Samyang / Zeiss 2,8 and Sigma art.

There's nothing wrong with doing that if your conscience doesn't bother you and more importantly - you get away with it.
Have any problems with the Sigma hunting for focus seen it mentioned in a few youtube videos
Not really but the Zeiss 1.4 has the fastest AFC then Sigma then Samyang, Sigma has by far the best IQ imo.
Okey doke just noticed their that Panamoz are over the u.k price for these.![]()
E-INFINITY had it for £629 and Bristol cameras were giving a free premium Hoya filter worth like £35. Those are the best deals I could find for 35mm ARTOkey doke just noticed their that Panamoz are over the u.k price for these.![]()
