Not sure Ill be getting one after being so pleased with the 50, may wait for a price drop on the 35.
but 50 is no 35![]()
WoW, it's a bit of a shocker that a mirrorless camera has better battery performance than a DSLR![]()
Not what a true 35mm patriot would sayMeh close enough

I know but for £650 in my pocket its close enough![]()
that's only £50 more than your sigma 50mm. surely you can return it?
If the AF is as good as you say it is, its hard resist the ART. Seems like a perfect balance!
I want to keep the 50..... So it's 650 out my pocket.
I like a 35mm/85mm combo, but when it comes to using a sole lens is a 50mm all the way for me. Which is why mine is arriving tomorrow
My old Sigma 50mm won't work on the mc-11 (I did kind of get it working in manual focus), so ordered the FE mount Art. My adapted 35/85 work well enough for now.
My A7R3 out performs my old Nikon D810 quite easily. That is because I shoot landscapes and used to have the D810 in live view all of the time. DSLRs are not built to be in live view all the time but mirrorless cameras areWoW, it's a bit of a shocker that a mirrorless camera has better battery performance than a DSLR![]()
The 50/1.4 Planar is still my favourite Sony lens, actually if I had to pick it’s my joint favourite with the Canon 35L mk2. I’ve only had the CZ a very short period of time but it’s just so good, it’s better than all the 50mm I’ve tried.
How are you finding the CZ 35??

It is well known that Nikon D810 live view sucks big time. Canon doesn't![]()

May be I should buy this too to complete the trioSaw a couple of the 35mm arts on eBay earlier. Paired with the Australian discount code there is for 10% off I was dead tempted but decided I don’t need 3 35mm in my set up

Whats the general opinion of the Samyang 35mm f2.8 AF?
I just have the 50mm f1.8 on the A7 at the moment, moving on from the x100s I really miss the wider angle.
That new Samyang 24mm has a serious amount of vignetting.
That new Samyang 24mm has a serious amount of vignetting.
Not surprising, expected as much for a wide angle that's so small.
Yeah but the flange on OM is one of the largest. Think that makes a difference to the design. So if you factor that in i.e. factor in size of the OM adapter this lens is tiny.Of the old 24's I have the Zuiko is the smallest, tiny really, and vignetting isn't a problem so I'd expect a modern design to be acceptable too.
It does still.poor for tracking and af anything that moves

I think it is the same with Sony. DPAF is the best AF live view for video in the market at the moment.
Only when both Giants announcing competitive ML then it will be relevant, thou shall wait![]()
And when Canon does release one, you know it will be reliable, won’t overheat and don’t need firmware updates. This quality control, so to speak, seems to be holding them back.
First impression is that it blows the samyang away. Not even comparable
How many MPH wind the lens created?![]()
Is that the Sigma 500mm on the right?
