Just got a voucher in the post from Wex, £20 off a £150 order with CAL20
Might as well preorder some batteries! Makes them £65 each

I just got a battery and charger delivered today and got the very same voucher in the post!!!
I don’t need anymore, I have 3 now.
You could use it for another FE lens or pass on the voucher code?![]()
Ahhh I think these codes are linked to user accounts, tried Dan's and it didn't work.Same code as Dan posted.

That’s like £200 in chargers and batteries I’ve spent, people have cameras costing less...
i'm going to do something called 'shakefest' where school kids put on back to back performances of Shakespeare plays over the course of about 8+ hours
should be ok with four as long as I can charge two, just in case.
Don’t only FE lens I want is £1300 and I’m wiped out this month, putting it on the credit card is not wise when the interest for that amount will be more than £20.
But what other lenses haven't you got?i've just been paid, it's burning a hole in my bank..

You should really always have your main software and files on the main drive, preferably SSD (I can't cope with HDDI'm going to buy a new SSD - having the LR catalog and images on an external USB hdd is killing me..
I've got mine in a normal spin drive and also on external HDD and it's perfectly fine though even on 42mp files.just build 1.1 previews when exportingI'm going to buy a new SSD - having the LR catalog and images on an external USB hdd is killing me..
Everything will be sooooo slowI've got mine in a normal spin drive and also on external HDD and it's perfectly fine though even on 42mp files.just build 1.1 previews when exporting

How much space does your catalog take?I have two internal drives both SSD - neither have room for photo imports and catalogsigh

Not on 1.1 previews enabled and built. Ssd Is too expensive to use for RAWSEverything will be sooooo slow![]()

1tb give or take. I split my catalogue into part year's.for instance I had 3 catalog for last year's picture's.i normally have 2 per yearHow much space does your catalog take?![]()
Mines instant after i import.i'd use it for import, then move it to external after - I want everything instant, I cannot wait a second for an image - I need to scroll 10 images in a second.
Mines instant after i import.
Why is it so big? My LR catalogue is just over a GB, then a further 20GB taken up with previews. I set it so that previews are deleted after 30 days, if I ever want to go back and edit I can just rebuild the previews then.200gb currently. i should probably split it into multiple catalogs now
a full RAW import could be 256GB (unlikely will be) but 2 x 128GB cards
I have my working files on the SSD then offload the old RAWs onto external drives. With what you spend on gear I'm sure you can afford an SSDNot on 1.1 previews enabled and built. Ssd Is too expensive to use for RAWS

Dunno why your catalogue is so large thenmine is set to discard 1:1 after 30 days, my only issue with getting an SSD is there's no where to mount it

I took 22,000 photos in last 30 days
You took an average of 30 photos per hour 24x7 for the last 30 days....that's a seriously itchy trigger finger! How many photos of your dog do you actually need![]()
dogphotos by dancook1982, on FlickrWhat's the size of the actual catalogue, and what't the size of the file relating to your previews?I took 22,000 photos in last 30 days
