Are you talking 85/1.4s?
35 1.4, with regards the 85 1.4s, I wouldn't touch the Sigma 85 ART, its just to big and way to heavy.

Im a bit stuck, I know the Zeiss is better in every way and I was lucky to get a nice copy, but theres money to be saved by keeping the Samyang instead.... but its my most used FL so I really should keep the better lens... or should I.... AAARRRGGGHHHHH! Choice can be a real PITA.
Wilkinson's A73 pre-orders - Did they come through with the £300 discount?
Well I only paid £1700 and they took the money immediately without any issues on further follow ups, so I'll expect it to be the case when I (hopefully) receive this week.

Unusual for Sony to have overheating issuesThere have been a couple of instances now on the Sony A73 facebook group where members have said that the camera has overheated just by using the menu for setting up etc... albeit over a long period...

Is my A7iii a dud? Yesterday I sat down with my a9 and a7iii to get them setup the same. After about 1 hour the A7iii overheated and shut down. No lens on it just the body. The A9 was completely cool but the A7iii was hot to touch. Should I return it.
its because they are just too HOTUnusual for Sony to have overheating issues![]()

The way I see it is if you sell your Zeiss you'll get back what you paid for it or near enough. If you sell your samyang you'd probably get less even though you paid £100 less than other places I imagine others will drop down in price soon enough.
Move on the Zeiss and upgrade the 85 to a 1.4?
Finally
My A7mk3 is there, they are trying to get it out today but no later than Wednesday![]()
and banding....FinallyI look forward to seeing your pinstripe testing

and banding....lol
Same here
Not bothered about banding with 10fps mechanical also available![]()
You mean 8fps as 10fps is pretty much useless due to lack of live-viewlol

I think you're confused as Ive seen it being perfectly usable at 10FPS in the video I posted.
Hows your 5 fps In mechanical and for flash going? Also, doesn't your movie mode suck and that dynamic range at base ISO is pretty poor isn't it?
I found 10fps unusable for moving subjects/panning tbh. For reasonably static it will be fine.I think you're confused as Ive seen it being perfectly usable at 10FPS in the video I posted.

Those ISO scores are insane.

Not confused, just used to the totally silent black out free shooting of the Sony A9 with the better AF system.60x faster as opposed to 20x.
I don't used the mechanical shutter much and when I do its only for single shots.
Don't use it for movies so and the base ISO is good enough.....
its a GAME CHANGERlol
Its usable for moving people, maybe not panning cars, I don't shoot cars and if I did, 8fps is still perfectly fine and more than the D850 without spending another £500? on a grip and a battery.
60x faster than what?
I can use the ES as and when, not like anyone is going to be surprised by a shutter sound when they see a gigantic 35 1.4 on my camera. Its hardly discreet.
See, Id rather have the base ISO because of my PP style and 10fps flash plus the added £2600 in my pocket than 20fps silent shooting. Good thing is theres pretty much a choice for everyone now, so we can all be picky![]()
I was only trying to wind you up chap.
Honestly the Sony A7 III is a cracking body,.... Nikon and Canon should be worried.
Sony seem to be really putting the pressure on now.......![]()
I can't wait... my only worry is that if Nikon brought out a Nikon A9 killer I might get Nikon GAS attack!I know, thats why I added the last bit, it all comes down to features we find important, after all, you could sell your A9 and be quids in. Sony has really done very well with the Mk3 offerings and I agree, Canikon should be worried, lets see what they reply with, especially at the 2k price point.

Should be here tomorrow! Has yours been dispatched yet?
And it one swoop we have more Sony A7 III owners on here compared to the Sony A9
Exciting times.... would love to hear reviews... any positives and negatives etc.
The Wilkson Camera's deal at £1700 was a steal.... I was soooo close to buying one!

I surprised myself to be honest.....Very surprised you didnt.
I was referring to someone walking tbh. I never said 8fps wasn't enough, and wasn't comparing it, just responding to the 10fps bitIts usable for moving people, maybe not panning cars, I don't shoot cars and if I did, 8fps is still perfectly fine and more than the D850 without spending another £500? on a grip and a battery.
