No battery of any camera can last a day shooting stills or even doing videosDoesn’t the new battery last for like forever now though?

Are you copying woof by owning multiple 35mm lol why do you have the Zeiss and samyang?Grrr I have a samyang 35 1.4, Zeiss 35 1.4 staring at me and no a73. Also my fe 85 1.8 is on the way. How depressing.
It is 'ok' without a grip with the 70-200, but starts to feel a bit more strained on the wrist and you don't have as much support from your lower wrist if that makes sense! Weight wise - the Sony is 30grams lighter without grip.
Your screwed if you use Ryanair lolI was going to get the Thinktank, looked into it last year but a part of me always held back, not sure why. (I do quite a few things off my gut….logically it is the more sensible choice, financially speaking too).
The more logical way is to continue to do what I am doing, I have a messenger bag where i throw everything in, if I want to carry more than 1 lens, I put them in lens pouches to separate them. But the bag itself has no padding and would flap around when walking because its soft outer lining that bends, especially with the weight of a lens at the bottom. This bag is cost the same as the Ryker actually, being Paul Smith...

I never complaint about that as I've been doing it for years but I never actually have a travel daily camera bag. I have a crumpler Geekstar for jobs, but that is too big and too specific for cameras. I don't take it out as a daily.

I have a crumpler The Base Park backpack which I took to Japan for 2 weeks. That is a great bag, great weekend away bag too as it has compartment for general stuff like a change of clothes.

Somewhere in the shed i have a Crumpler Italian Connection, your run of the mil backpack for 100% camera gear, I've used that once or twice, the reason i don't use it anymore is because when full, it is too heavy.
Your screwed if you use Ryanair lol
I'd never check that in with that amount of gear.first thing you need to be weary is your luggage going missing!I avoid them on purpose [emoji14]
I fly BA mostly, and if i am forced to check in the Pelican, i know it'll survive.

BTW the battery grip with batteries inside is more than 30g in weight! So has your A7r3 turned up?
Same. I have mine in a medium size f-stop icuYeah, same, that’s why I always place my valuable gear in a smaller bag (thinktank, normally) within my roller case, just in case something isn’t allowed in the cabin.

I use a Tenba Cooper - its so nice! but was a little on the expensive side!
In the mean time, here is a real life size comparison if anyone cares or wants to see - those online comparisons sometimes look a bit odd!

first i have heard about there owner being dodgy?I’d love to buy F Stop gear. Shame their owner is dodgy AF - and as such, I wouldn’t touch them with a barge pole. Ach!

Have you seen this, looks like it might be exactly what your afterThink I might get my friend to cnc me an l grip without the vertical bit.... with a battery door opening.

Tgere bags are bullet proof though ive had them for 6/7 years now and they been with me all over the world
I think we already established that it's not the number of shots but rather the length you're using the camera because of the EVF, someone quoted a review with several thousand shots on one battery with an A9?
Only point of reference I have is a couple of days ago with an A73 I did something like 150 shots over 5 hours and used up 50% of the battery (I was not timing myself so don't take that as gospel), pretty sure if I shot that back to back it wouldn't even be 5% of the battery.

Just read. There’s plenty of info out there on the internet if you have a look. It’s the main reason I haven’t bought one of their backpacks. Read the article I posted just there.

QualitySeriously. Catch up a little. I'm not going to keep repeating myself for you.

there still alive though so not bankcrupt yet!
I just bought another backpack from them last year xmas time and got it delivered within days from netherlands
Good to see that, thanks. Is that your Sony?
I think you're mostly just having fun but I don't know why you guys think it's odd to have multiple lenses of the same focal length. Lots of people discuss the bokeh and wider look you get from different lenses and that's why I have different lenses of the same focal length, because they are all slightly different and all give a slightly different look if only at the widest apertures.
And a PS.
I have more 50mm lenses than 35mm lenses![]()
each to there own really, the poor feel in the hand was one of the big reasons i got rid of my a7r11 just found it really poor layout- but the sensor was lovely.A D750 or similar is always gonna be more comfortable than the A7x, they’re bigger in every way. I doubt anyone’s disputing that? I’m just saying the current A7 lineup is comfortable enough to not be a deal breaker, any more.

A9 battery wise I could have done 9-10 on two bodies with two batteries In each grip
I did charge the depleted batteries at one point, but I would have made it. I wouldnt have risked it though
I have 2 batteries at the moment, a 3rd from Park Cameras if and when they get stock. Would feel much safer with 3 than 2 batteries.
How did off camera flashes go btw? did you try it out?
But That’s my point, if the grip makes handling that much better, but has the disadvantage of blocking the battery cover (and I assume tripod attachment) why not just use the battery grip and solve both problems? To be fair, that grip makes a huge difference to the handling of the camera....
The Sony (A7riii I tried) is much better with the grip when using the 70-200mm, until you turn it into portrait orientation when it becomes unbalanced having too much weight on the left imo.I disagree. I think as many people do not find them comfortable, they just don’t comment on this thread.
The D750 + 70-200 is more comfortable than the A7iii with 70-200, without any doubt. Obviously I’m guessing the grip would make the Sony more comfortable.
With smaller lenses or a battery grip it’s probably a different matter.

With a name like that you should be ace guitar player.i methim once in my local jazz club, had a chat about strings.LOL. That could be me.
I have only one piano though

With the grip the A7 is no lighter than the D750, but I think I’ve come to realise that the Sony A7 series is not really about making the setup particularly smaller, it’s about moving on to the next era of cameras. I think until curved sensors or those metalenses (I think that’s the name) are developed small FF systems are just a pipe dream. (Yes I know you can make them small ish with a small prime, but I’m talking about the system as a whole)
Nowt in it really.

Compared to the Fuji XF lenses the Sony APS-C lenses quite frankly look s##tAlthough if Sony’s apc offering looks decent... lol
