The Amazing Sony A1/A7/A9/APS-C & Anything else welcome Mega Thread!

There have always been slower primes, even ones made by the high end manufacturers with high priced red dots. Slower primes can have advantages and in the case of the 35mm f2.8 the advantages are pretty obvious... it's teeny tiny. What you have tp do is consider that positive against the negative of it not being f1.x.

I think you took my comment a little too seriously than it was intended :P

Why are you not confident? You just gave a very good reason to buy from them? You get a 6 month no quibble warranty, 14 days returns for any reason. I would say thats better than a lot of places. Bought loads form them. Service is brilliant.
2nd that, excellent and courteous
service

mY NEXT LENS WOULD PROBABLY BE THE SIGMA 135MM OR THE 135 GM IF THAT EVER COMES OUT/ MAINLY FOR PORTRAIT WORK. I AM GOING TO SAVE UP FOR THE 400 F2.8 ONE TOO

You should save up for an English lesson too. You start the sentence with an uppercase followed by lower cases, not the other way round.

This is the future, we're in at the beginning.

Since I've finally settled down, been a busy day shopping for new clothes - it's good to no longer feel like a tramp.

First up the 16mm end of the 16-35

This is where I keep my lenses... except when I'm playing on the Vive, when I move them somewhere safe as I do keep bashing stuff..

Still got some DIY work to do in here, painting and touch ups - and when the upstairs is finished we can keep it tidier by moving all my junk upstairs..

This is going to by my gadget room, I will keep the camera stuff in here when it's done. Yuffie has been at the underlay.....

whats a Vive?

@dancook Whats your favourite FE lens?

It's too early to say! in a line for each..

Instantly loving the output colours and sharpness of the 16-35mm 2.8 GM

24-70 hasn't wow'ed me, but it seems a solid performer
70-200 also does the job, I think like the 24-70 I have nothing to complain about - they are everything I need in a couple of work horse zooms, I am very happy with them.

I am happy with them, 24-70 performed so well in a play rehearsal, quality of images were great.

100-400 has been used the most I think because I've been playing with it and nature quite a bit, as I haven't had the chance for a while to do this kind of photography. That has excellent IQ, particularly as it's a zoom - for all i know the 70-200 IQ is just as good, just I haven't used it at low iso and pixel peeped in the same way.

85mm 1.4 is damn nice..
35mm 1.4 was pretty good too but hasn't had chance to shine yet.. I'm noticing the CA cropping up

Not used the 50 1.4 yet

35mm 2.8 not writing home about this one

Oh and 90mm 2.8 looks great so far, as I'd hope from a properly priced macro lens - Yuffie's hair looks like hard bristles!

Yuffie is a savage

you bet she is

@dancook what you were supposed to say was.... Oh yeah the 35 1.4... best lens Iv ever used.

I had the 35mm 1.4 distagon on the Canon for a while, manual focus only - loved that lens, even though it was a PITA to use.

So I'm pretty chuffed it's available in AF for the Sony,

I had to go back and look at some to confirm.. yes I .. it's the "best lens Iv ever used." *
