Good to see a deeply scientific approach being taken....
Seems like everywhere you look you’re getting different opinions. I was surprised to see the A9 score as low as that on the running towards and zoom while focussing tests tbh, especially as I’ve seen a lot of places say it’s better than the D5. Makes you wonder if he had the right AF setting?

I’m not sure of the relevance?View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EsZtUZvoeO0
He concludes that the 5DIII has a better focusing system than the D750.
Ahh right, makes sense. Did it also have an effect on AF with subjects coming towards you I wonder? There was a known issue regarding AF while zooming which was addressed via body firmware ver. 2.00 and ver. 05 for the 70-200mm f2.8 GM etc
Also the SD cards were UHS-I / slower versions I believe.

Well that's why you would be zooming.
Well in that case do you know when we are expect tamron 28-75mm?![]()
Without looking at the link.is that my mate Paul?I do take a lot of info from forums with a pinch of salt, but I find this interesting that what ex D5 user says the A9 is better at focussing in low light than the D5, and an ex D750 user thinks the A7riii tracks better than the D750

Got a price from Digital Rev for A7R3 lol. Panamoz it is!!
Just buy the thing already.
i disagree! The A7riii focus is good, but its not quite up to the D750....
You lot laughing at canon thats why. Yes the DR sucked but the AF was ahead of nikonI’m not sure of the relevance?
HallelujaJust buy the thing already.
i disagree!
Come on now....
The AF is comparable to the d850 which is itself better then the d750..
No commentI clarified myself later!!![]()
Panamoz have price matched![]()
North Yorks. Moors Railway, 27/03/18. [/URL]i disagree!

I have used the Nikon D40 and D7000Have you used a D750 or D850?
It's a rainy day today, so thought I might go out with a camera - I guess getting a plastic bag and poking a hole in the end will help with weather sealing?![]()
lol, I think you'll be fine unless you dropped the body in a puddle![]()
hmm not sure i want to be a guinea pig![]()
Yea d850. Lovely camera but heavier and larger then my 5d4.Have you used a D750 or D850?
Sorry, I meant whilst not zooming as hit rate was only around 73% IIRC which is obviously not right looking at other vids and testsWell that's why you would be zooming.
Dunno, didn't think you had any friendsWithout looking at the link.is that my mate Paul?
Says who? I've been trying to find a comparison between the A7riii and D850 but all reviews and videos just seem to be comparing IQ. Frustratingly I do prefer the Nikon files from the comparisons, but I know there's a whole host of variablesi disagree!

This rumor site reports that Canon mirrorless cameras have been registered...

One seems to look suspiciously like the competition![]()
