Lol, thanks![]()
You used to be such a nice bloke. You've changed.
Lol, thanks![]()
f*** waiting, A7R3 on route.
As If enjoy miss focus on the horse lol I bet it worse than the D750
Why would the A7R3 be worse?? You not watched all the above videos?!
Cos I tried one along side the A7iii at the show and the A7iii did a better job at tracking and taking images
I'm not jealous at all, not one bitf*** waiting, A7R3 on route.
how reliable is your 10 minute trial at the show with a camera system you have never used before?![]()

Next you will be telling me the A73 is quicker than the A9!
1 hour with both camera with me walking around the show if you must know....
Indeed 10 fps is easy on the eye but as you say tracking a fast object may be problematic, being 1/10 sec behind the action. I don't shoot much fast paced stuff so I cannot offer am opinion. I will attend a few horse events later in the year and I can give it a try.TBH it looks better at 10fps, virtually no black out. I'd be interested to see what it's like panning being that split second behind, but on the face of it it looks like it 'could' be easier to track in the VF rather than having the blackout![]()
with all the amazing fast action at the show to test on as well? especially horses?![]()

Nah not ordered yet lol. I can’t until I shift the bits I need too, then will take a serious look at which one to get.
There were horses at the show? Damn it!!!
Although just read that the A7R3 shoots in crop mode at 18mp!!! That’s damn good!

Christ that is impressive. Two cameras in one basically
people really didn't know this...?
its been the case since A7RII
in fact the original A7R gave 15mp files in APS-C crop mode.
The 24mp give 10mp in APS-C crop mode (your D750 will also)
But the nice thing about EVF is it shows you a cropped version automatically instead of having to imagine the framing![]()

I didn’t but to be fair, I haven’t ever really considered an A7R.... as they have always been out of budget
..... infact the original A7 also offers crop mode.
You can shoot your D750 in crop mode.
Yeah I know that, not looked into that either, what MP is that in crop?
All I knew what my old A7 was 12mp in crop which is crap
Some people have no control
Damn it, I was relying on you to compare the AF compared to the D750Nah not ordered yet lol. I can’t until I shift the bits I need too, then will take a serious look at which one to get.
Exactly why I want a high res camera next. There were horses at the show? Damn it!!!

That's exactly my thoughts, I could choose a lighter lens than the 150-600mm and still have the same effective reach, well almost as it would be 18mp vs 24mp.So does A7RII
yes its pretty nice option to have especially with a telezoom like 100-400mm
Only 10mp though. Obviously plenty in most situations, but if you still need to crop further it can start to degrade IQ. I sometimes wish I had 1200mm reachYou can shoot your D750 in crop mode.

I believe it will meter slightly differently in DX mode, but I don't think it's enough to worry about. I don't use DX mode on the D750 and crop in post though, mainly due to it not changing the framing through the VF. If I had something like the A7riii I think I would shoot in DX more often rather than cropping in post tbh. Would keep file sizes down tooYou cant just make up pixels from nowhere. It's the same as cropping in post anyway.
12mp is good after a DX crop.Yeah I know that, not looked into that either, what MP is that in crop?

I was happy with the A7S 12MP, that's just it's normal full sensor
It's more like 10mp as I showed above12mp is good after a DX crop.
Yeah I know, I was just responding to 'if' it was 12mpIt's more like 10mp as I showed above
