To be fair, with Sony knocking out bodies like they have been doing with big strides in advancements, the prices for the previous generation models seem to take a big tumble. :(

:o lol ermm I just take the grip of my only A9 when I go light with the Zeiss 55mm f1.8
The Sony Zeiss 35mm f2.8 would complete my light setup but 35mm isn't a focal length I use much.

The literal cost of their rate of development. :rolleyes:

I think it is interesting what Sony have done with their RX100 range where every new iteration comes at a higher price, with a big increase in features, but the previous model stays on sale. It seems to keep the resale value of those cameras tumbling. It seems to be a strategy rather than making too many cameras and over estimating demand before the next model comes out. ;)

Haha! You will miss the low light CAF of your Nikon. Apart from 1.4 most people have said the low light CAF is not quite there... YET.

But of course without trying, who knows!!

What if I keep a Nikon too, to be fair I’m sure the A7iii is good enough.

I got my A7II this week, upgrading from an A7 mostly for IBIS and freedom from sensor reflection in night shots

Putting that into practice with a C/Y Zeiss 50mm f/1.7 at f/2.8 and ISO 800 from 1/40 down to 1/20 sec; certainly the cleanest results I've ever had in this kind of light so I'm pretty happy

brilliant shots. on a d750 it would struggle to focus and be as noisy as a kendrick lemar concert
 
Is there any way to edit the RAW out of A7 at the moment? any DNG convertor method or something?
 
I note that on all the sites selling the A7iii state that to qualify for the three year warranty *product and warranty registration must be complete by 30th April‘.

Given non existent stock, so everything on back order, I wonder if this deadline will get extended?

Really? Given the the extended warranty is in effect a separate product (Like AppleCare) I'd be surprised if they get away with that:

Guessing your preorder invoice will qualify as it'll be dated.

Don't you get a raw processor with it?

I looked a coupe of days ago and DNG didn't have it but actually there seems to be a known problem with the latest DNG not loading so I kept my older version.
