Did you not see my posts regarding how much I'd get for my gear and how much I'd need to spend on Sony? Ain't gonna happen. Hopefully F-mount will be fully compatible with Nikon's mirrorless as and when it's released.

That's an option as and when I can raise the cash, but I am concerned about the future of DSLRs and F-mount. Plus in an ideal world I'd have a FF mirrorless to replace my EM1 for travel.

So you should get enough if you got high quality glass

70-200mm f2.8 VRII only fetches £940 used, Sony's is £1900 used/grey. My Tamron 150-600mm only fetches £420 used, the closest Sony (100-400mm) is £1500 used/grey. That's £2k I'd need to find right there, plus the difference between what I'd get for the 18-35mm and what I could get the 16-35mm for, difference between my Sigma 85mm f1.4 and the Sony equivalent, the difference between the 24-120mm and Sony 24-70mm, then the £1.5k I'd need to swap my D750 for the A7Riii. My Olympus stuff would raise about £900. All in all I think it's about £3.5k to swap IIRC.

So the Wilkinson offer on the Sony A7 III ends tonight, really tempted to get one as a second body and try and put a end to Sony GAS.

£1700 is a good saving which includes 3 year extended warranty.

No more lenses as got all bases covered.

That's my reasoning, if you don't need it now then best to wait for price drops. There's a considerable price difference between Europe and the rest of the world so I'd expect the price to drop faster once demand isn't as high.

About 6 months but sonys not really price cutting these days as they've changed their strategy. Plus, this camera is in worldwide shortage, the demand is very high..... supply and demand.

Imo it'll be a while before prices drop by 300 quid.

Me either but that hasn't ruled it out in the future.

This would be if I trade lenses to WEX which means waiting for their stock too.

Then would need charger and battery!!

Yes I believe the screen is physically the same size.

The battery will last a long time and you can always charge it in body? Buy them later if required?

Yeah, just checked the A7riii and that's not gone down at all yet I don't think, likewise the D850. Seems cameras don't have an initial drop off anymore, will be interesting to see what happens when the demand drops.

It's not the same screen, the A7Riii is a better quality screen with more resolution. Size wise they're probably the same though . Nice to see you've got your priorities in order
