A new manual focus FE mount 35mm f1.2 from a Chinese maker...

It'll be interesting to see how good it is and how much it costs.
Thanks, if you have both canon fd 28mm and 24mm, what one do you prefer?
I'm inclined to go for the 24mm as it's bit more of gap from my 35mm fe Zeiss. Also could crop in s bit on the 24mm if the edges are a little soft.
Update - I went for a 28mm, as ffordes have a number of new unused stock, couldn't resist for £59

We need a 135mm fast native auto-focus lens (at least me) and I suspect the next Batis will be this one.
With the Batis price unfortunately![]()
FWIW the FDn 24mm f/2.8 is pretty good and better than the 28/2.8. IIRC the 2.8 was the second cheapest in Canon's range after the 50/1.8, which accounts for why you see so many of them. My experience with it is mostly on film, though.
FDn 28/2.8 on a Canon A-1: Boots 200 Slide and Ilford FP4+ respectively
Still, not a bad lens for very little cash. I'd be happy at £59 for a NOS example.
The f2.0 versions of both are excellent.![]()
I checked an old camera storage box today and to my surprise it contained a Canon fd 24mm f/2.8 lens that I didn't know I had![]()

Stomp by -cybertect-Hi peeps, before I order, can someone tell me if this is the best current option for HSS
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/191879279629
I understand the I can't use my Safari 600's with HSS so they may have to go. Are there any battery powered moonlights that will work with the Godox system. Need to get sorted asap...
Cheers

Use ND's?
Could do, would prefer to be able to make changes a lot quicker than messing with filters though..

I'm very tempted by the A6000 as they seem to be bargains now and they often crop in in the for sale section but I have just enough cameras and another third system (I have my A7 and 3 MFT cameras) would be silly.
Still tempted though![]()

Prices seem to have dropped for the A7 - would that be the best bang for your buck? Has anyone gone from A7 to A7II and glad they did? (Or wished they'd stuck with the A7)?

You wouldn't because they're the same sensor aren't they? The A7ii just has a bigger grip and better AF.
And ibis
Doesn't the original A7 have a plastic lens mount, or did I imagine that?
Sure I remember something about lenses coming loose on the original A7?
Come on Alan, I thought you had more money than you knew what to do with. What's another camera on the shelf? ;0)
Wow, where you been Rooks? Thought youd be around more after buying an A7ii and XT1.
Andrew, ask whatever you want and if anyone has a pop at you use the ignore feature. Problemo solved. In my hide out as I've been asking too many questions and drove some people up wall so keeping a bit quiet at moment[emoji106]

So with a price difference of around £300-£400 (?) it probably makes more sense to pay the extra and get the A7II with IBIS, a better mount and better grip?
