The Amazing Sony A1/A7/A9/APS-C & Anything else welcome Mega Thread!

If I had all that kit I would keep it all... I wish I had that kinda of money :)

Ok. The adapter thing. It's just not going to serve me the way I'd like it to.
I'm now stuck with a few canon lenses.

My options are:
1. send the Tamron back and sell other canon glass. But the Sony adapter and the more expensive a mount Tamron.
2. Send Tamron back and buy it in Nikon mount. Buy a Nikon. I like Nikon and know the menus and most of the lenses.will be a bit of a faf having to send the lens back and sell other canon lenses.
3. Buy a canon. Use the lenses I already have.
Have never been too keen on the canon dslr tbh though.

My heart says Nikon but head is saying canon.
***am not moving away from Sony. Keeping all the Sony gear but want/need option for wildlife shooting.
What gear have u got mate?

I got rid of my 1DX 5D3 and all my canon glass, bought this lot and strobes etc with the proceeds...

Bet you never regretted it

Yeah, the 60mm 1.8 Art by Sigma....
Guess u got a metabone. Is it worth getting metabone to get canon fit even if don't own any?

No mate 60mm is e mount but fits fe mount works good .... And no not worth a Metabones imho if u don't own canon lenses already the adapter is 300 quid in its own

Not worth having that is you have the 55mm?

So apart from the Sony native lens the FE lens what others work like the sigma

U can modify it by removing the baffle and it gets 98 percent coverage..... Ha 55 is a diff league but also diff money sigma is only 120 ish bargain for the image it delivers but zeiss 55 is awesome

Yeah the easiest way to look at it is if u buy e mount it will work in asp c crop mode mate

Yep still only 98 percent though if u shoot JPEG and set steady zoom to 1.2x works great

you want a long lens for motorsport if I remember correctly?

the sigma 150 600 works ok not fast enough for wildlife with metabones imo though

Fair play then the 150 will be slow, unsure what it's like via the a mount route, I'd buy a 5DSR and just shove a sigma sport on it, use that for the doggin sorry I mean bird watching

If I had the spare cash to get a 5dsr I'd buy another d810 instead and not be faffing around like I am at the moment.
