Cheers pal can't fault that image at all. So a A7ii should be slightly better if at all?

Owen does ibis switch off if we use in lens IS on canon, I read somewhere if it's on, the metabones switches ibis off....

I leave it on auto I cant say I have noticed it going off etc I shot handheld video on it and I would say I shake a fair bit with canon with this sony its almost non existent

Well the D750 is better but not a huge amount really. Have you a link to that test pls as the one I get never have the d750 listed

Have u a link pls

I did say the lab test I found doesn't have the d750 listed odd I know so must be another link

why, are you considering a d750 ?.

one thing i just learnt am i right in thinking you don't have a dioptre on the Opticals its only on an EVF, deal breaker for me that is, i hate wearing my reading glasses to see focus the dioptre helps me so much...anybody know

Thinking selling d750 going A7ii

You care to comment?? Think it smaller size and ibis that pulls me

keep the glass use a fotodiox pro on it all, i love using my dads 24-70 and 70-200

all depends if your d750 is doing something you cant get on with or you think the sony gives you something that the d750 for me the weightsaving and ergonomics of the sony is a massive win as well as iq and numerous other things over my canon stuff

is the fotodiox pro af? I read somewhere it was sim to the canon metabones.....

My A6K has a dioptre adjustment for the EVF and as far as I can tell from the first Google hit I got, the A7 series is the same. I'm not sure what you mean by it only being on the EVF and not the 'opticals'? You use the EVF permanently for the viewfinder so if you adjust the dioptre for the text in the EVF, it will be sharp for focus too.

lens has come, you got yours yet Owen... what peaking level you use High ?

I use medium mate and yeah I got mine yesterday I didn't wanna post up about it as I thought it was a bit odd it was so cheap I thought cocked up and it was eos m fit because of the price

ahh. yeah its nice, fits well, works ok. Just need something to shoot now not just dogs. Did get Lens error at first but re seated and alls good now.

I only had the dogs and wife here yesterday but got a few wintery shots...lens seems spot on to me must admit

i have to say Manual on it seems bob on,

anything specific you need to twiddle on camera with these manual lens ? i sometimes seem to miss focus in the centre but prob me and taking em at 1.4...very shallow good bokeh

yeah just a bit of practice needed at 1.4 as do I mate

I have a bit of Canon gear which i don't plan on getting rid of so im considering a adapter to get Canon lenses on the A7 are the likes of these any good ?

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Neewer-Elec...&qid=1453394031&sr=1-5&keywords=sony+a7+canon

I've seen they get plenty of positive reviews on Amazon yet most of the reviews don't read as if its the same product to me

I'm just after something that isn't big money to get me more lenses on my A7 until i buy specific ones that have been made for it :D

I've seen the metabones they do admittedly look very good but there £300 im after something a little lower budget for now :D
i use Fotodiox for Nikon works ok. Just remember Metabones passes all the info to the camera so its autofocus etc, unsure what the others do. most of the cheap ones are manual only

Metabones is 295 at lensadaptors4u

Guys just a heads up Jessops have the a7ii and canon metabones for 1279 on the day and then £100 cash back almost as good a deal as I got a week before Xmas ;-)

Not sure if I can attach a screen shot but the body on the day in its own is 1289 so u save a tenner by having it with the Metabones lol

rookies asked for examples of higher ISO shots from A7II and A7rII. I suggested that someone with the cameras he's interested in send him a raw to process but if there are no volunteers I can send examples from my A7 mk1 (but as this isn't his camera of primary interest I'll only do so if raws aren't available from owners of the mkII cameras.)

I'll send some raws tomorrow if there are no offers of mkII raws and in the meantime, golden Buddha at ISO 20k...

This was in a dark corner of an underground temple? Crypt? Or something... and my GF was very interested in it and said "Take a picture" so I did. But I don't always do as I'm told.

ive sent him a couple of iso 6400 raws I don't really have anything higher than that as I use a flash or lighting I don't really do nighttime pics until a wedding in a fe weeks I'm sure it performs ace though no reason to doubt it

Thank guys will look into them all later when finish work.
