I was hoping for the same. I haven't looked at any of the alternatives as I already have the EF 35A, however I have recently seen that Sigma are adding Sony FE to the mount conversion, so I may go that route

I wonder if Tamron willmake a Sony mount for their 35mm 1.8. Thats quite a compact lens compared to its 1.4 counter parts.

I live in hope that Sony will release one to be honest, I do love the Loxia line but the 35 isn’t as good as the others and it’s a lot of cash for an MF lens...

Until you add the 26mm to get the reg distance correct.

Yes there's the 35mm f2.8 and I have that lens. What I don't have and don't want is a 35mm lens the size of a bazooka on the end of my A7. YMMV.

For comparison, the Nikon 35 1.4 is 9cm, Samyang is 11cm and the Canon 1.4 is 10cm. The Nikon costs £1,400. Canon £1,600 and the Samyang £500.

Those figures don't account to when an adapter is attached to those lenses

I'm not making any reference to mounting them on the A7 though? Just stating that FF 35 1.4 lenses just ain't pancake. The Sigma Art is 9.5cm too.

I haven't but have heard of a few very bad experiences from people I know on forums.

Not yet! Going off to look at them on Saturday. Have a holding deposit on a 70-200 until the weekend so need to make a decision by then!!

I've bought from them a few times in the past before i discovered Panamoz. their prices used to be really good. no issues from me.
