has obama kicked off the next crusade ,america has stayed out of the middle east syria/iraq rows till the latest round when christians are being persecuted ,have no fear our arab neighbours will have noticed this as well .saying that its about time he grew a pair .whats everyone else think without being racist please .

re ww3 I would look towards Putin and Ukraine. This is far more dangerous.
 
The most dangerous thing is to be an ally, look how WW1 turned out. We were only there as a favour. War makes money, that's why I believe it's a handshake between certain people but then again I'm a cynic.......
 
I find a good way to get a very slight understanding of global power politics (which makes grand master chess look like tiddlywinks), is to look at a map of the world and to think about the various players' domestic power base.

As for crusade - no.

WW3 - no.

If I understood what you are saying, I could give an opinion.
 
Firstly, it couldn't be the fourth crusade as that has already been and gone; so has the fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth, and ninth crusades. Secondly, Obama couldn't call crusade even if he wanted to as by historic tradition and by virtue of the fact that crusade is a 'holy war' that is the privilege of the Pope alone and even he could only order Catholics to participate. I'm a Methodist so I'm safe.

Trouble so it takes just one nuclear bomb to affect us. At least in the old days it was just ussr and USA (plus their friends) and both would threaten but knew that they had too much to lose to start anything serious. Now it's lots of small sub groups with total mutters in charge who really don't care if the world ends.
