The 2014 Season F1 Thread

No bets on which way its going to go tommorrow
Mercs split by 2 bulls
Are the 2 bulls bullsh ing or was it just because it was wet
Evens for maldarnardo spining and taking someone out Hes plenty to go at starting from the back

Rosberg actually messed up his final qualifying lap and spun out.

My guess is he will steam past the Red Bulls***ters from the start into the first corner if it's dry.

No sensors on Nico's car. "nico, when you get a moment, touch the engine and tell us if it's hot..." :D

Some great twitter comments...Great move by Rosberg, whilst calculating fuel load and weather forecast.

Vettel told to let Ricardo through again.

Lol @twitter. Webber kicks tv as vettel let's past ricardo

How long before Vettel gets a kicking from the team for being a nob..

Soon, hopefully.

It was strange all his little whining complaints weren't commented on by the commentators on Sky though. When he wasn't quick enough he seemed to just want to give up, but not allow Ricciardo to go after Alonso either.

Real spoilt brat showing today.

Spoiled brat indeed... His reluctance to let Danny through cost them a podium today..

Superb drives from Lewis and Alonso..

What are they building the suspensions out of If those first lap bumps had been last year there would have been 4 cars with 12 wheels between them pointing forward and 4 pointing west
Lewis just great Rosberg is getting a little whiney Ricardo enjoying racing and looking good Alonso doing what Alonso does makes a no hoper car look good (even if it isnt realy just the way its perseved)
This season is shaping up just fine

Apparently, Silverstone will be selling tickets for the inside of the track this year. Tickets to be made available later this month.

And will be going fast thanks to lewis and merc

It's interesting that they make a headline out of this. Wolf says that his expectation is that McLaren are only likely to be passing on information they are not barred from sharing... Non story really..

Don't think anyone that watched that as it happened will ever forget it.

They should restore the penultimate corner at Barcelona back to how it used to be.

Its still good to watch today
This could well be the mercs on sunday
But I think someone may well have wispered in lewis's ear as well as nico's

Love that video. I watch it a few times throughout the year. Mansell was a bit of an arse outside the car, but behind the wheel he was spectacular.

A light hearted vid of the evolution of the F1 car

Fond it on Joe seawards blog

i enjoyed that quali session..some of the slow-mo shots of cars going sideways was great. Maldonado looked like he was driving a Rover SD1 round a banger racing track, right up to the point he crashed it, just no grip(or talent)

newey might fancy a challenge now, Cant see merc letting hamilton or rosberg out of contract though

Cant see a Alonso hamilton pairing being any better than last time, maybe magneson Alonso / honda
Newey to build boats, since the introduction of Kers and now ers his designs seem to be compromised for reliability , at least wind boats are free of that

About time they dump maldocrasho and let pic have a go. Nice bloke and a decent driver

Luck [even if you make your own luck] was the difference today between Hamilton and Maldonado!

I would have to disagree, there is far more than luck between them, Hamilton is a gifted driver who has a large amount of skill, Maldonado is a mediocre driver who has a large amount of oil money behind him.

He was VERY lucky to catch the car in Q1 IMO! Luck [even if you make your own luck] was the difference today between Hamilton and Maldonado!
Bit like comparing caterham with Mercedes wouldnt you say unless you think its luck one gets round the track a tad faster than the other

When you're sideways on the grass under power, it's pure effing luck if it comes back or not! Sometimes followed by braggadocio bull***t [who, for what it's worth used to drive in Italian F3 as Bimbo Bombellini's teammate!] but it's still pure effing luck if you get round that corner as hero or zero! :p

So, lap 9 and Maldonado is showing his lack of "luck" again...

5 second stop/go for causing a collision.

My comparison was really with his team mate, not the strange crashy fella!
