Awesome!

Not really, I think we may see a few things happen on the track between these two this year!!

When you see vettalmacher stop on the track and wave Webber through to win then you will know it is all okay between them
Until then its just Red Bull****
Horner, Marko would you buy a used car off them I sure as el woudnt, bankers the pair of them

The aftermath of the Multi 21 team orders saga continues to rage, and today it has emerged that Red Bull have mandated that their errant world champion Sebastian Vettel will be ‘punished’ for his disobedience in Malaysia and demoted to the Toro Rosso team for the Chinese Grand Prix.

Would be an appropriate punishment but, given that it was published on April 1st, i'm sceptical. Plus i'd imagine the contractual side of things would be complicated.

It would show his worth as a driver though, if they put him in a lesser car and he performed well.

Not an april 1st story
Just incase anyone thought ferrari wasnt a special case within F1
The big news is on page 179 of the prospectus which covers the terms of the teams' contracts to race in F1. It states that "in respect of Ferrari only, Ferrari may terminate if the regulatory safeguards agreed between the FIA and Ferrari do not allow Ferrari to veto any change to the regulations already announced or introduced (subject to certain exceptions)."

It doesn't get much more blunt than that: if Ferrari doesn't like the regulations then it can change them and it is the only team in F1 that has this power. But there's more - the prospectus, and reports by financial analysts, also reveal that Ferrari gets more prize money than any other team.

Your link goes to an error message, I found the story from the home page and this seems to be the direct link to it.

Thanks Dave
Strange that because thats where I found it, but you are correct

An interesting point is raised here http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/106508?source=mostpopular but not picked up on. There are a few engine manufacturers who supply several teams and with next year's massive engine regs changes, track hours on the new engines in testing will be needed. To take Renault as an example, they supply (IIRC) 8 cars with engines while Cosworth or PURE may only supply 2 cars (again IIRC, Cosworth only supply Marussia this year). Then there's the possibility of the same power units being used in GT racing, potentially allowing more test time on the motors (or at least many parts of them) in different clothes.

While the F1 playing field has never been level (from the very start of F1, a certain team who race in red livery have demanded extra money - they didn't start the first F1 GP because they didn't get it!), such a benefit to the suppliers of more than 1 team could be huge.

Dunno - I was scooting around trying to find an easy list of who supplies who and saw them mentioned as a possible new supplier.

Free practise is never a guide to race results but it does look like its between the top four teams
Mercedes, red bull, team vettal and Ferrari

After the last race I came to the conclusion that the best team for Vettal is actually Ferrari, I think with his new attitude he would fit right in.

But then what would they do with their current prima donna? Having Alonso and Vettalmacher in the same team would be like dodgem cars on a Saturday night ;).

Clarified it a bit further for you :D

Not quite following
top 4 teams
Mercedes 2 drivers 1 team
Ferrari 2 drivers 1 team
Red bull 2 drivers seperated in the garage by a wall of tool boxes 2 teams
1 team gets the second hand / rate gear the other calls the shots
Horner is just hanging on for good redundancy terms

Superb qualifying in the pirelli tyre endurance F1 really seat gripping
Just wish I had paid out to watch the qualifying
Sorted out any team orders in Red Bulls teams pity it was mark that suffered, what a suprise

“As a punishment for disobeying orders Vettel was given the job of filling the cars up before practice,” joked Tiff Needell, a one-time Grand Prix driver and currently a host on a motoring show on British television.
Roll on Sunday when the fastest of the slowest cars will cross the line first

Paid out to watch quali? This weekend's race is live on the BBC and even FP was shown on the red button. I take it the rest of the post re exciting quali was in jest - little action for the first few minutes in Q1 and only 8 cars setting times in Q3.

All was in jest Think what it would be like for the fans that had paid for saturday

Webbers at the back of the grid (somehow not enough fuel was left to sample) that will teach him not to have a go at vettalmacher Multi 21 indeed

This race is for Alonso (but I have been known to be wrong)

Well, the race made up for the lack of action in quali! Especially the final few laps!

Have to feel a bit sorry for the man whose wheel fell off, he really is someone that only ever has bad luck.

Things go from bad to worse, Webber has a 3 place grid drop for the incident with Vergne. Don't know if there's anyone in F1 with as bad luck as him :(

He's incredibly unlucky, but I agree with this sanction.

There is no conspiracy Honest you can believe me says Horner ?

Nice enough race Vettalmacher got a bit giddy at the end and did himself no favours
Alonso did some smart moves with the DRS zone and overtaking
Mark should have realised that no red bull anything is going to do him a favour and hoping one would move off the racing line was only going to end in tears
Hope they can sort out Quali in Bahrain The race is more historically suited to red vettalmacher and ferrari teams with Lotus there or there abouts as well

Ferraris lined up for another good weekend even if bahrain is a vettal team circuit

Can't believe I'm saying this, if Rosberg doesn't carry his qualifying pace over to the race I'll be hoping for a Ferrari win, anyone but Vettal :gag:.

anyone but Vettal :gag:.

Disappointment then

Nice to see Mc laren having a go even if it was between themselves

Looks like lotus have there suspension sorted, now for some more speed me thinks

Nice to see Horner sucking up to Vettalmacher at the interview "he does take notice of what I say sometimes" subservant or what

I'm guessing that those who can't spell Vettel put their kids in McLaren buggies...

Perez was awesome today
It appears a *******ing does him some good BUT he only had to tap Jenson a touch harder and no front wing, rear wheel puncture would have finished mc larens weekend off
He could be approaching Grosjohns ability last season if he carries on

Webbers luck seems to be turning he only got a fine for his crash this weekend

Not a fan of anyone! Just annoys me when people can't be bothered to get names correct. Especially those who should know better...

If I'm honest I didn't notice, the iPad seems to think it should be Vettal and autocorrects it as I type. Vettel gets a red line under it when I x the correction pop up.

Typing on a forum doesn't normally equal high vigilance of spelling and grammar, especially late at night.

You missed grosjohns instead of jeans
My opinion is that mclaren are racing like maclarens this year up to press
Do you think its the pull rod suspension thats the cause just like furarie last year, as all areo starts at the front end and the justification for pull over push is better c of g but worse aero The loss of Hammy cant make them that bad surly

The above has been corrected by the spell check in my world

Serves you right for using an ipoo!
