PF1 isn't always the most reliable source - especially the forum (although it's been a while since I was active there).

Hopefully. The daft thing is though, I'm in the north of the UK and it would be cheaper for me to go to the Belgian GP than the British one at Silverstone :(
 
According to the commentator out here, Kimi has done a deal to return to Ferrari.
 
Anouncment Wednesday the rumour has it whether kimi is or isnt wearing red

But then the rumour has it that the merc engine has a 100hp advantage over the rest for 2014, which sounds a bit far fetched
 
Whitmarsh was being slightly cagey about Button driving next year too, suggesting that they might be a shake up at McLaren in 2014 as no contracts had been signed yet.

Now wondering whether JB will be part of the Sky F1 team, or whether he'll pundit for the BBC instead!! :D

Hope it is a big team as I am sure he has a few years in him yet, but I am betting Force India or Lotus maybe?

Should make for some brilliant fireworks next year though :) No doubt Alonso moaning and Kimi just not giving a toss.
 
There are rumours that Alonso and Santander are going to Lotus for next year.

I can just imagine the pit wall on the radio:

"Kimi you will go through qualifying giving Alonso a slipstream"
or
"Kimi, allow Alonso to pass you".

Kimi:

"****** off, let me race".
 
Can't see either KR or FA being good little lapdogs like FM has been. KR would get on with the job and try to win the races and FA would start spitting dummies and throwing his toys out of the pram (look back at his McLaren days...)

Not sure where FM will end up, maybe he'll leave F1 as a GP driver, possibly staying with Ferrari as a development one? Not necessarily F1, maybe for the road car division - maybe even for FIAT?
 
The BBC are reporting that Kimi has signed a one year deal with Ferrari with an option to extend.
 
Ferrari to confirm but thats just a formality

So the rumour now is
Massa to sauber
Hulkenburg to Lotus
I bet lewis is laughing a bucket full at kimi alongside alonso
Ferrari better make a better car next year or they wont get out of the pit lane for spit out dummies and ice cream wrappers

I wonder who Alonso annoyed at Ferrari that has caused this, he was quite obviously number 1 driver this year, and there is no way Kimi would sign a contract to be a number 2 driver.

I somehow doubt he would even follow team orders during a race, even if was tried.

To have a team mate allowed to race him seems almost like a slap in Alonso's face by Ferrari.

Martin Brundle seems to think Alonso has lost his driver #1 status as well:

Something not being said here in the kimi to ferrari
Kimi more vocal in his last interview than ever before ?? How wonderful to back in the team that sacked him
Alonso not very vocal unlike him
Stepheno vocal on the team is all that matters, I read that as the constructers title is what you are going for lads and next year is by all accounts the year of the engine not areo
Renault have vast knowledge on turbo and currently make the winning engine
Mercedes are no slouch in the engine department
Maclaren have a point to prove and make the electrics
Ferrari well they wanted V8's ?? so two cars piolted by two top drivers driving the nuts off them that are there or there abouts should in theory get them the constructers title
But my money is on Alonso leaving 2015
Maclaren Honda ???

I think this is the most unlikely prediction ever in F1.

I think there's more chance of Lauda driving again than McLaren offering Alonso another spot.

Maybe , but none of them almost caused the team to be kicked out of f1 as Alonso did to McLaren.

I always think it's a bad sign when it's main sponsor branding on the car is from the owner. If they could sell that prime space, they would.
 
I thought the team was Renault, and Lotus was the sponsor?! :shrug:

The team run by Lotus is Caterham isn't it?! :thinking:
