That Doh! moment.

Do we all sometimes forget the basics ,or is it just me.
Was out at the hides with the siggy 150-500 and the birds where just to far away.
Hey! I've got my 1.4 converter in the bag, zonk that on.
So put it on,low light and why will it not auto-focus.......:shrug:

Wasn't till I got back to the car thinking it was broken that the Doh! moment hit.:bonk::bang:

Erm unfortunately I'm confused as to what the doh moment was... doh!

Low light so it didn't AF well right?

I always notice myself. ..cos its gets darker.

It would not focus Rick? Pretty obvious to me it belongs in OOF

I hate it when you are playing around with high ISO, leave it set high, then take a series of pics, and don't notice until you are back home and editing them on the computer!

Or worse, going out without taking the memory card with you!

I just posted similar earlier
Got dragged into town shopping with her indoors on Sunday. After a quick tour, we had a drive across the bridge to Fife as I had the camera and bag with me
Soon stopped up for 1st shot and switched on, but the viefinder was lifeless, had a brief panic about camera being dead
Then I remembered the battery was still in the charger :bonk:
Never bothered going for a drive after that
